This filter sponge was used in the H.O. B. filter for my fresh water aquarium and in my canister filter for my saltwater aquarium. In both the water is clearer. It's easy to use and easy to be cut for different applications. Good product with a good price.

Is and does exactly as you'd expect.Besides using as replacement for single use filter cartridges, I used a sizable piece as a prefilter covering the pick up tube on my HOB filter.This:• reduced the maintenance on the HOB filter• increased bio surface area immensely• protected small fish from getting sucked against the pickup tube so now I can run filter at full volume• captured food particles onto surface of material that normally would have been pulled into HOB internal filter and now fish can find and graze on throughout the day.Saved food, maintenance, better filtration. No brainer.

We bought this to cut up for our aquarium pumps to save money on buying store bought filter replacements. It is truly awesome. No more spending money on pump filter replacements.

Does what I need it to do! Good value!

It's stiff enough to push between two walls to keep fry from getting to filter, tight enough to keep fry from getting trough or stuck, but porus enough for the filter on the other side to keep the tank clean.

It's ok. I wish it was coarser. Clogs quicker than expected.

Foam is of great quality. I use as tank dividers and/or matten filters on my 40g breeders. Has had numerous fish spawns and fish/tanks with the aquaneat foam remain healthy.

Came fast and is just as described. Easy to cut into different shapes n sizes if using it to replace original sponge filter media or creating your own.Highly recommended.
