KYBSR4084 Strut Plus Complete Corner Unit Assembly, Black

Worked as expected on my 2007 Mazda 3. Easy to install. For both sides, it took about an hour and a half. I had never installed struts before, so anyone can put these on. Made a huge improvement on my car! I found them for such a great deal on amazon, and it saved me over $120.

Very good OEM replacement for my 2.3 Mazda 3 Grand Touring. Easy to install, and provides an almost OEM ride height after the car settled. It does ride a little firmer than stock, but that fits my style of driving very well. Like a firm controlled ride and this does it.

They fit and they work. Handling is at least as good as factory if not better. The only reason no 5 star rating is the springs are too tall! The front of my car ended up an inch or two higher than the back :( After about 10,000 miles the spring seems to have settled down to the correct height, but it was annoying.Update - the ride height NEVER got totally back to normal.

I was able to replace both my front struts in under two hours. Everything on these struts matched exactly with the locations on the OEM struts. Even better, the balance of ride quality and handling was restored to how I remember the factory levels when the car was new. I highly recommend replacing the shocks and struts on cars to regain that new car feel. I've talked several friends into buying new shocks instead of a new car and they later thanked me for the massive savings. They had no idea what they really wanted was a solid feeling car, not necessarily a "new" car.

I have these on my Mazda 3 for about 4 months now. I figured the ride would get better. Unfortunately the shocks are worse than stock. They are way too slushy and I probably won't buy these again.

Raised my ride height about 1 1/2 inch. I'm not too happy about that! The ride is firm and smooth with no problems during install.

Part worked perfect as designed!

I installed these on my 2005 Mazda3 and was initially satisfied. However, less than 5,000 miles in, the mount bearing on my left strut is failing, causing a clunking/creaking sound. Further googling has revealed that bearing issues are not unheard of on the Strut Plus lineup. I haven't yet started down the road to refund/replacement, nor am I really sure I want another KYB strut. My options at this point are to replace with a different brand, or take the unit apart and replace the mount, which kind of defeats the purpose of purchasing a "complete" unit.

Even after setting in period, the height was unacceptable. In the end, I switched out the springs for the stock ones.
