Q: Why did mine come like it is used and the bottom wearing out? I thought I was buying a new bag

It's a cheaply made bag. The clip that holds the handle to the bag broke the first time I had it fully loaded with very expensive equipment. Expensive lesson, you get what you pay for and it doesn't pay to cut corners here.

Q: What is the length of the opening can i have a 150-500mm lens attached

10x17" (43x25 cm) is the inside opening when separators are removed. It is 8" (20 cm) deep on the inside.

Q: So the exact same bag for Nikon is $10 cheaper.. No branding so why pay extra for this one?

Honestly, I wouldn’t. After about a month one of the zippers on the side broke, then another zipper on the top opening broke. I’d go with the Nikon.

Q: Does this have a tripod strap?

No it does not have a tripod strap. Also please be careful because the shoulder strap hooks that attach the strap to the bag can break. Mine did and sent my bag crashing to the ground with my camera and lenses it it. Was not happy!!!!
