I received my urine and stool catcher on time and in perfect condition. It is made of durable plastic, rigid and fits either on top of or underneath the toilet seat for easy use. I've had to do 24 hour urine collections and this device is so helpful in measuring how much you void at a time and easy to pour into the collection container, rinse and use again. It is also small enough to store when you don't need it and only weighs a few ounces. I would highly recommend it to make an unpleasant procedure tolerable. It can also be used to collect stool samples or hunt for elusive kidney stones.

I needed this after having a lot of kidney stones and I couldn't find a strainer to fit. It works very well if you can seat it properly. It's a bit hard to get it right in the correct spot but it may be due to our having an oblong or elongated toilet and not a round one. It still works though and the price was good.

It is easy to use

This "toilet hat" fits perfectly between toilet seat and bowl. It makes it so much easier to collect urine than the little specimen bottles. Since I have propensity to form kidney stones, my urologist recommended I drink enough water to put out a lot of urine to try to keep stones from forming. Thus I really needed something like this toilet hat and it has made everything a lot easier. It holds a lot and has easy to read measurements. It empties easily to be cleaned. I am sure glad I was able to find it on Amazon as I had never heard of a toilet hat before.

This is an apparatus that most of our local doctors do not have. It is cheap. It is effective. Surprisingly, even our pain management doctor, who requires regular urine testing does not possess one of these. If you are a guy you really don't need it (due to manufacturers equipment). However, for a female it is very difficult to pee in a cup. I shake my head and wonder at these healers who cannot provide this simple yet effective accommodation for their patients.

Price is steep for what it is, but I bet we are mostly paying for the shipping. Medical supply stores sell these for less than $1, but you still have to pay for shipping. This is flimsy, thin, clear plastic and very lightweight. Don't expect something sturdy and firm.Best used on top of the toilet seat. I was lifting the seat at first and putting it underneath the seat, but it was falling into the bowl. If you have alot of output weight (say more than 12 ounces / 350 ml) it may "cave in" and fall because the wings may not be wide enough to hold the sides of the toilet (under the seat).One issue with putting it on top of the seat is that there may be splash around the seat if you are male and standing above it. I find I have to clean the seat after every use.It's easy to rinse and clean. It is also easy to pour the output into a collection container if needed. Overall it does it's job, which is primarily measuring output (also good for catching kidney stones or #2). That is all I really needed it for.
