Go Pro - 7 Steps to Becoming a Network Marketing Professional

Great Read!
It surprised me when I enjoyed this book! First off, I am not doing an MLM/Network Marketing because I have to but it’s because I enjoy it – another shocker for me! I do feel like the MLM that I am involve in (dōTERRA) is quite different than most. I say this because they are products that literally everyone can use and, because of the issues that these essential oils can help with, people buy them at least monthly. They are also super easy to just share, so there’s no selling involved – only education; which, Worre does say is the main point to all Network Marketing and I couldn’t agree more. There are several things that I loved about this book. It’s written in a clear manner that is easy to understand. I like how Worre is honest and upfront and enjoyed his personal stories as well. Because I didn’t purposely get into Network Marketing for employment reasons, I never really thought about how great of a career path it really is for people who, like me, enjoy freedom! There is no boss, no commute, no alarm clock, no employees, no politics (amen!), no compromises, discrimination and no pre-set skills or education is really required (although you all know I am very pro-education). It allows you to stay home and be the room parent still or travel until your heart is content. I love the flexibility of it and I love that I set my own results by the number of hours I dedicate to it. The other benefits he mentions are: great product, unlimited/residual income, enjoy the people you work with (I love this part!), time freedom, personal growth, low risk, low or no startup costs, tax benefits, fun. Worre then discusses typical job categories and shows us how Network Marketing is superior to all of them. I especially like how he points out that people like myself who hate politics have a hard time advancing in the traditional workforce, which is true in my experience. His quote, “The best way I know to not only survive, but to thrive in the New Economy, is Network Marketing. There are important products and services in the world today that need to be promoted to the people who need them. Consumers still need to be educated. Companies have choices. They can dive into the ever-fragmented world of advertising to get the word out, they can hire a large and expensive sales force to sell their products or services, or they can utilize Network Marketing to tell their story to the world. More and more companies will choose Network Marketing because it first the New Economy. They can provide all the corporate support and pay distributers on a purely performance basis to promote their products. It’s extremely efficient because in the New Economy, word-of-mouth advertising continues to work better than any other form of promotion….you can receive all the benefits of traditional business without the typical risks. And there will be no cap on your income, because Network Marketing companies WANT you to make as much as possible.”He then points out the one “catch” to Network Marketing. “You must accept temporary loss of social esteem from ignorant people. That means for a while, people still living in and trying to function in the old system will think less of you. They won’t understand. They’ll think you’re crazy for being involved in Network Marketing...” he goes on to explain his logic more, which is spot on in my opinion for most companies. I have only been doing the business side for 3 months and have only contacted 3 people directly to ask them if they’d like to do the business side. I contacted these 3 people because I know them well and I know they would be great at it and I also think they would enjoy the financial benefits as well. The rest of my team has joined on their own, without my provoking. And of all the people I have spoken with, only one person has flat out said their reason for not using dōTERRA is because it’s a Network Marketing company and they would never do such a thing. I didn’t get my feelings hurt (well maybe a little because it is me we’re talking about) and thought, “Yea, I thought the same thing!” and in my head I know this person is missing out on so much, but that’s their decision. Worre discusses people with this mentality and how you can talk to them about it. He says that most people feel this way because they have seen too many people fail or, they themselves have already tried it and failed. I can see that. He has great tactics on how to talk to people about it again. For me, I am not concerned with the few people who don’t want to do an MLM company. I feel sad that they are missing out on the best products I have ever used and residual income and the chance to build their own business in the comfort of their homes because most people would enjoy the extra income – I know I do! I suppose if I were doing this for the income I would focus like Worre suggests as he makes great points! I like how he points out that Network Marketing is “not rocket science, but you’ll be happy to know it’s one of the highest paid skill sets in the world.” I enjoy hearing that and, after being involved for even 3 short months, I can definitely see why people do it and why companies do it too. It’s a great choice for both parties. And the income potential is phenomenal, I do agree there too!Worre goes into detail and has great ideas on how to set up your professional business. I won’t go into all that as it’s in the book but I enjoy how he realizes you can’t be pushy or annoying but just be there! Use the tactics he uses and learn from his mistakes so that you don’t do make the same ones he did. He then focuses more in depth on things you can do to grow your organization and ways to do it so that the organization will grow itself with the least help from you.He talks about “rules” and steps to being a professional instead of a “poser” as he calls it. These are great and so simple – anyone can do it. I think his tactic of calling people is great too, but luckily with dōTERRA I don’t find myself having to do that at all. In fact, with dōTERRA there are a lot of things that other MLMs would need to do as he says but I don’t. I can simply give someone a 60 cent or so sample of something and say, “try this” and they almost always come to me instead of vice versa. But I can still utilize his information because I can see how it would work. And, if you’re involved in another type of MLM, I can see it really working. He goes into detail of what to say when people object and gives specific examples of what to say and what not to say – they are great! Especially the parts about being asked, “Is this a pyramid scheme?” that always makes me laugh! And the part about “bothering friends,” which is funny as well. If your product is great, are you really bothering your friends by helping them get rid of their allergies or getting them to use safer alternatives to traditional medicine? No! You’re helping them out! They may not see it that way at first, but once they realize it, they will thank you for introducing you to it.I really enjoy Worre’s ideas on what to do when a new distributor joins! Great ideas throughout this book on how to make things duplicable. He has a portion of the book dedicated to the importance of events too, which I find exciting! I look forward to going to some of these things and I enjoy his perspective on them for sure. One of my favorite parts of the book is this funny truth, “If a person starts a tradition business, they expect to break even in their first few years and possibly pay back their initial investment in the first five years. But when a person starts a Network Marketing business, they expect to get their money back in the first month, make a profit in second month, and get rich by the third month. And when that doesn’t happen, they blame Network Marketing! It’s like people don’t want the laws of business world to apply to Network Marteing. We DO have a better way, but we’re not selling magic beans here. Anything of value takes time to develop.” Now that is the truth for sure! Yes, you can get rich in Network Marketing! No, it won’t happen by itself or in the first few months (not usually at least!). Worre gives more formulas on realistic expectations. I know dōTERRA publishes their average incomes and I was shocked by them and expected them to be exaggeratory. I am pleased to find out they are indeed spot on – at least in my experience and those around me as well. All in all, this is a great book. Granted, it’s the only book of its kind I have read thus far but I really enjoyed it. I gained so much and will definitely use it as a reference for sure. And I recommend it to anyone who is in an MLM or even slightly considering one. I recommend it for anyone who wants a better, more free lifestyle and the ability to earn what they want. With the right MLM, you can still work your full time job and slowly convert over to full time MLM or make what you were making full-time doing part-time MLM. The options are as limitless as the potential income! Anyone who knows me knows me of all people would never have recommended an MLM to anyone even 6 months ago! But, like Worre says, it is because I only know people who aren’t that successful with them. I had a preconceived notion of what they entailed and had I ever taken the time to really learn about them, I may have changed my tune. It’s funny because I got into dōTERRA with the sole purpose of using them to help the health of my own family. And, like most, signed up with the intent to never sell. But when I realized I am not selling but education and teaching, which has always been a passion of mine, I realized I thoroughly enjoy it! In three short months, I have a team of 25 people! It’s crazy to me because I don’t work on it that much (but yes, I did work!). I am excited to see how we grow when I really start putting effort into it! I am excited to have more resources such as Worre’s book as well!

Perhaps The Best MLM Book I've Read. And A Great Marketing Tool For Recruiting
This is going to be a different kind of book review.I’m not in a Multi Level Marketing (MLM) Company. And the book is written for people either in that industry or thinking of joining.First, let me say that I see (at the time of this review) a staggering 1,535 customer reviews on the Amazon sales page. That number if a huge multiple of the number of reviews for any other ‘sales” book I’ve ever seen on Amazon. This is also the #1 book under the “Sales” heading. And it’s not strictly a sales book. What that tells me is that there are lots of people in the MLM business that buy sales books. It also tells me that there are plenty of bulk sales to companies to use as recruiting tools for their business opportunity. And that’s the purpose of the book. The second page opens with a list of attractive quantity discounts for ordering the book direct from the company. I’m assuming that most books are sold this way, and not on Amazon. Meaning that, still being #1 on Amazon, means that there are a whole boatload of books sold, that Amazon knows nothing about. So, this book should be studied. There are helpful tips and suggestions n the book about how to sell your opportunity to prospects. In fact, some solid advice is here, that will absolutely help your business. You even get scripts that aren’t intimidating, and don’t come off as salesy. The first third of the book is a brilliantly crafted presentation as to why MLM is the only way to make a better income. The author talks about ; White collar jobs, Blue collar jobs, Owning a business, Being in a sales position, and Making money bu investing. And the author picks apart all those options with skill. Of course, if all those options are discarded as unworkable, what’s left? The MLM opportunity that the person who gave you the book…sells.Chapter two explains why training is so important. And it’s true. But the reason that you are reading so much about additional training…is that the author sells additional training. Nothing wrong with that. I do the same thing in my books. You get some informative tips about creating a prospect list, and how to call the list. You get sample scripts that are non threatening, and would actually work if you used them. You read a lt about follow up with prospects. This isn’t “selling” in the traditional sense. It’s cultivating a relationship, and giving opportunities for the prospect to express interest.MLM companies have a problem. They are trying to get a sales force on non-salespeople…and non-business people…to sell their opportunity. So the approaches have to be softer. The MLM newbie is fragile. The possibility of rejection needs to be minimized. These approached take away much of the sting associated with sales rejection. The author loves “Tools” in your recruiting efforts. His reasoning is valid. Of course, his book is one of the most important recruiting tools. But again, the reasoning is valid This isn’t a junk book. You get a chapter on how to help a new distributor get started. A factor that many MLM people ignore. You get a large portion of the book explaining the importance of getting your prospect, and new recruit, to a live event. One of the kinds of events that you travel to. The events that have multiple speakers. You want your ne people to hear Success Story after Success Story. I understand the value in this, and can see why it is so important. As a sales book author myself, I saw this book as a sales tool, to sell in large quantity to MLM leaders…who in turn sell copies to their “downline”. This book is then used a s a recruiting tool to help build your MLM business…and sell additional services that the author provides. The author mentions his other ofers a couple times in the book. But he doesn’t beat you over the head with self promotion. The book is incredibly well written. Th sales points are presented wel. The reasoning is pretty sound. And the reader goes through a sales funnel that leaves MLM as the only viable option for making any real money. If you are in any kind of sales, this book will help you prospect. If you are in MLM, this book is about the best recruiting tool I’ve seen. If you are a Guru or Coach, you need to study this book as a way of presenting your ideas as the only way to get ahead in life. I thought the book was a Master Class in selling an opportunity.

The Only Handbook Network Marketers Will Ever Need.
I bought the book and proceeded to read through it entirely, within one day. I then started to read it over again the next day. Finally, on the third time through I started taking notes. I didn't read this book three times in three days because it was complicated and I didn't understand his message, but because, finally, somebody wrote exactly what so many of us were looking for, the ultimate guide to sponsoring people.I have read, purchased, watched and tried to digest and implement some of the marketing techniques and strategies of other masters of network marketing, but this is the first that actually provides me the concepts and strategies of all the steps in network marketing.Eric Worre states that this is his first book that he has ever written. Well, he has done an excellent job. It's obvious from reading the book that he did some planning and thinking about structure and content. The book flows very well with the concepts he introduces and proceeds to explain. He uses everyday language as well and does not try to be facetious by using unnecessary and uncommon words. I would bet that if I met Eric Worre, his writing would be as he speaks. Clear and concise. For anybody that is in or thinking about becoming a network marketer, this book is an absolute must have. It does not teach you everything about network marketing, but it does an excellent job of educating you on the 7 fundamentals that you must incorporate into your business. I have personally gained new knowledge into one of the most important aspects of network marketing, namely sponsoring. It was the missing cog in my process and now I have received it from the master himself.Eric Worre has laid out the fundamentals that you need to master to become a network marketing pro. He has provided concepts that you need to learn in order to have a productive business. And he has given it to you in a matter of fact straight forward manner. This book needs to be in your personal development library.

Revolutionise The Way You Think About Network Marketing
I bought this book a couple of months ago on the recommendation of someone I respected, but it was just another one of those books I have sitting on my iPad that I was going to get around to reading 'someday.' Well, when my computer started acting up and I had nothing else to do for a while, I finally decided to read it, and WOW! I have been in and out of several different Network Marketing companies over the years but have never had any success with any of them. Now, after reading this book, I know why. In the last company I was with, our team leader had the classic mindset of 'Some will, some won't, so what -- Next!' I'm sure many a network marketer has heard that phrase over the years. Eric Worre explains why that mindset is such a recipe for disaster. You never give up on ANYONE! It's all about building relationships with people, whether they eventually do business with you or not. I've been hearing that from a number of coaches lately, and now I know where they got it from. The idea of Attraction Marketing is nothing new, but I never really understood it or knew what it was all about until now. I've always believed in the concept of Network Marketing, but just never really believed I could make it work for ME. I now have a new sense of hope that I CAN do this!
