Awesome motor
Easy to install and it works great

Lots of additional expenses on top of an expensive motor. Be careful which model you order..
Pros: Auto-deploy; Built in sonar. Remote control you can wear around neck.Cons: Cable gets caught in front crevice and jams unit about once every 8-10 stows. Extra parts totaling hundreds of dollars are needed to maximize operation. This motor is great, I'm not gonna lie. Being able to stow it from the back of the boat or while doing other stuff is awesome. Being able to operate it while casting from the back of the boat is also awesome. What's not so awesome is that the unit doesn't stop, even when it detects a shallow depth. It'll run you right into shore, or rocks, or whatever. The cable also jams up in the front crevice of the unit. I've already got two good gouges in the cable because the unit attempted to stow with the cable jammed. It stops and beeps, but ultimately, the damage to the cable is already done.It requires updating of software using an app and process and were too difficult to find and figure out. Until it updated, it would not work with my Humminbird (compatible). The handheld remote should come with a float. If you don't want someone to steal this OR if you need to remove it for any reason, you're going to need a separately sold plate/mount for $80-$150, and a $100 plug. You're also going to need a y adapter if you have two transducers on your boat (one in trolling motor, one in back). Also, this model on this page is NOT the one with down or side imaging. It only has CHIRP. This is unclear on this product page, but the selections are clear on the Minn Kota site. For $100 more, I could have had that feature, but bought the wrong one due to unclear product description.Delivery of this item is via semi truck or atypical vendor due to its weight and length.Oh, and a transducer or ethernet extension cord is also needed $30 and they only come in like 10 or 30 feet.I wish this had everything in the box needed to without the many additional upcharges, but now that it's been professionally installed (several hundred more dollars), it does work magic on the water.
