Seller that calls themselves, ‘Good Merchant’ is selling these for triple the suggested retail from the manufacturer. How is that ‘good’ ??

I don't know if it's safe, but I got 3" long, 3/4" nut and bolt set with washers to make my own after looking for these EVERYWHERE. I'm not sure if I'd recommend it if you're a monster benching and squatting 4-5 hundreds of pounds but for a reasonable level of lifting, it does well enough. Get the bolt that is fully threaded so you can put a washer snugly against the bolt head (so the barbell doesn't jump off it even if you rack it hard) and a washer on either side of the power rack hole. So 2 bolts, 6 washers, and 6 nuts complete the set. I think it cost me around $16 total. If you're extraordinarily safety conscious, shear strength of a bolt is around 60% of the tensile strength (The Industrial Fastener Institute (Inch Fastener Standards, 7th ed. 2003. B-8)) Also, 3/4″ diameter F1554 grade 36 anchor rod will be able to withstand 12,024 pounds force (lbf) without yielding. 60% of that is 7214.4 lbs. On my very good day, I couldn't dream 10% of that number. You lift and you assume the risk. Whether you think this is more risky than trusting something some idiot welded after being baked all weekend is up to you.

I just recieved the hooks but they are both facing the same way. so i can only use them on one side, that does not make sense.?

Yeah they go the same way...just put em in the rack on the same level and put the bar on them. You're overthinking it, I think.
