Does this cover like paint or more likr stain leaving a blotchy appearance

I did not find that it was like a paint.It was more like a stain however it did not leave a blotchy look.I did find that like most dyes i have used it will look a bit blotchy if brushed on to leather where your brush or sponge strokes overlapped unless you really put it on heavy.I spray mine on with really good smooth results.I will spray it on in light coats until i get the level of darkness i want.I use the automotive type sprayer with the glass jar.Oreilly auto parts has them where i live.Has the jar with the compressed air can that screws on top.Works great.
