Great solution to an important task
This is a really solid product. Literally - it's the next best thing to a blackjack that you could probably crown a thief with like a king if you can get it in hand to do so.It comes very complete with everything necessary to use. Construction is high quality. But I have to caution those who don't have Kal-El's vision that the dots that this has all over it are extremely small and even with reading glasses under a bright light I still had to angle it several different ways to read them. And I had perfect 20/20 up until last year. It's for this reason that I have to advise against the pre marking of the letter dots before punching. The marker tip is fairly fine (it should be finer) but the ink used and the softness of the tip causes the mark it leaves to run. Or not run per se, but to expand. And the ink is thick and black. Meaning that it completely covers the metal dots and obscures where the edges are no matter which way the things is angled, making precise punching in the center of the dots very much a crapshoot. And the ink dries fast too so if you make a mistake, it's about as easy to get rid of the ink as it is the actual punch. So the point? If you can see the dots well enough to color them in the first place, you can see them well enough to punch them without coloring them in. And that's what I did once I found this all out.It gets easier as you go. Once done I tested to make sure I could make out the punches and figure the whole word out from them even though only the first four letters are necessary. It worked - I was happy. You also get two paper card backups, one of which could be rolled up and put in the middle of the metal cylinder, just in case while the other goes to another locale hopefully. It looks pretty inconspicuous when screwed together too. Unless you know what it is, it doesn't belie what it is outwardly. Looks something like a short maglite.Overall a very good investment that should provide safety and confidence in handling your seed phrases. Supposedly you can buy a multi version where it takes more than one together to assemble the whole seed but I got the single.

For the Serious Security Expert
Incredibly well-built and rock solid. A little difficult to read and set up but I feel very secure that my key will be saved regardless of circumstance.

Seed recording
Well designed, supported, and explained. Does the job well. Needs duplication to prevent in case stolen or lost. Too pricy to have duplicates in different locations.

Discreet and practical
Just perfect. Looks like a flashlight, also that it could last through deluge or a meteor impact, as long as you could find it. Seems like it would be intact. The tool used to poke the holes, indicating letters is way better than others I’ve used, the whole thing is honestly super easy. Just be careful with it as you wanna make sure you’re punching the right phrases. I would totally recommend 100%.

Feels sturdy and secure
Gives peace of mind that my seed phrase is more secure than it would have been, if left on a piece of paper. Wasn’t too difficult. After punching in the first 3-4 words the rest were quick and easy.

letters too small
Letters are too small. I read the reviews and thought it would be ok, but definitely too small for my liking. I'm sticking with a seed plate.
