Be careful of dripping!
This has totally changed the look of my bathroom, and I’m so excited about it. I had one of those dirty cigarette filter nicotine yellow colored acrylic tubs when I moved into this place 8 years ago. I’ve always hated it. No matter what you do, it looks dirty. It had scratch marks from previous people washing their spastic dogs in it. Finally I’ve had the time to redo it, and I went with this kit. It has totally transformed my bathroom, and I can’t wait for the 7 day curing period to finish so I can finally use it! 3 more days!My only problem I had was where the paint was on the vertical areas, it dripped down into the base of the tub and left thick drip spots. It’s not that noticeable, and I may try to sand it down in the future…but may not. It’s not THAT noticeable unless you’re looking for it. Overall though, I’m really impressed. The odor is about a 6 out of 10. Nowhere near even as strong as the caulk I used. I didn’t even have the window open for the third coat because it was raining heavily. I sent pictures to a family member, and they thought I had bought a new tub!I’ll update the review accordingly if I have any issues once I actually start using it.One last thing is to make sure you have an extra brush or two…I think my dripping paint problem could be related to water on the brush. Only one brush was provided, which I washed out after the first coat. Three hours later, the brush was still pretty damp, but it’s the only brush I had. Same for coat three. It could be because the brush still had water on it? When I do the tub in the second bathroom next month, I am making sure I have additional brushes to have a dry brush each time.

Good product… not like new though
I would rate this as a good product, but don’t expect your tub/shower to look brand new. It took about 5 coats for our shower, which was a yellow color and I was painting white. So order more than you think you’ll need. Also it did dry with paint streaks where I had to use the brush instead of a roller. I expected that though. The smell while applying is just about overwhelming. I wore an air filter mask and ran the exhaust fan, and I still had a headache after each coat I applied. So the smell is really strong. But the shower did turn out really well. Like I said- it doesn’t look new, but it’s a whole lot better and cheaper than a brand new shower.

Works!
Wanted to modernize my vanity on a budget. I did do 4 layers, can’t lie was a bit nervous after the first layer do to brush strokes. With that being said, try to use the roller for as much as you can. Does have a different texture, but that was to be expected and doesn’t bother me. Overall very pleased and easy project!
