10/10 Blender slightly on the expensive side but worth every penny

Hair Blender - Series 5This is by far, the most expensive blender I have used and by far the most impressive.The blender arrives in the manufacturers box and is well protected for it's journey during transit. The blender sits inside moulded cardboard inserts so no movement occurs.All packaging is recyclable, no plastic used at all.The jug is made from glass.Firstly I must mention that this blender also arrives with a single serve container beaker so you can blend your smoothie on your way out to your commute and not have to worry about rinsing out the jug.The container beaker is fitted in the same place the jug would go and all you need to do once it's blended is screw on your lid, amazing idea.Slight assembling is needed for the blender but each piece fits together easily and only the jug that needs aligned and a slight twist to secure it to the motor.This is the first time I have has instructions that only use images and not lots od text, I guess using images only saves quite a lot of paper and ink. Lets be honest we don't usually read the instructions anyway and skip them to get the quick user briefing and only read them to trouble shoot.The images are very clear and simple to understand in an easy step by step formula and there is no way you could be confused following them.The controls are easy and not at all confusing as there is only 3 setting, one for ice, one for smoothie and one for clean.There is a dial for minimum and maximum pulse speed depending on what you are putting in your smoothie, for example you wouldn't have max speed for kiwi fruit as it's very soft and does not need much force from the blades to blend it.Easy to use buttons, you press ice and the machine is pre-programmed to automatically stop after 1 minute.The noise level is no different to any other kitchen gadget while being used.

This is certainly the best blender I've ever had, it is super powerful and can blend anything you throw in it with ease, even ice!I usually use it to make strawberry and banana smoothies but I have made milkshakes in it too and had no problems at all.The preset modes work decently well but I prefer to just use the knob to manually change the speed since I need to keep an eye on it to check if it needs more liquid.It comes with 2 containers you can use for blending, a hard plastic bottle and a huge glass jug, I mostly use the bottle since I only make one serving at a time and it's perfect, you just put the blade on the lid and put it upside down on the blender, once done you just take the blade off and swap it with the lid, it couldn't be any more simple! I usually prefer to just pour my smoothie into a glass but if you are taking it out with you it's super convenient!It's not super loud, my previous less powerful and much smaller blender made a lot more noise, I think the containers being super thick helps insulate the sound.Everything about this blender feels super high quality and it's really a pleasure to use, I don't have anything negative to say about it!

The media could not be loaded. This Haier blender is multifunctional and extremely powerful. It makes swift and light work of reducing ingredients to a soft mixture and creating super smooth smoothies. Included in the set is both a large glass jug and a smaller receptacle with a separate lid which can be kept in the fridge. Both slot securely onto the base of the unit. At the touch of a button, the blender switches on and operates continuously until you switch it off.The unit and all of its components are together very large, bulky and heavy - and, indeed, come in a huge box - so you might wish to bear this in mind if you have limited storage space. The reason I have deducted a star is because the instructions are entirely diagrammatic and I personally found them somewhat confusing. It would be far more helpful to have some written instructions alongside the illustrations. Apart from that, this is a great blender which enables you to rustle up a healthy smoothie (or other concoction) literally in seconds! Highly recommended.

This is a really great quality blender. The big glass jug is solid and you can make a nice amount of soup, smoothie or even dare I say it a big pot of cocktail! (it'll even blend the ice).Obviously as it will make short work of ice, you can make a lovely chilled fruit smoothie drink in summer too, it makes a surprisingly smooth mix even though there's ice mixed.It also has a takeaway cup, which is similar to the personal blenders so if you're just making your morning smoothie for on the go, you can mix it and take it without needing to pour out. Less cleaning. Bonus!The blender does a great job and gives a smooth consistency, it is good for quickly whizzing protein shakes too.Cleaning is a doddle with the auto cleaning feature, and so far I'm just really impressed with this blender.Going to be making a lot of soups in new year and this will make things a lot easier!The feet are little suction cups, so it stays put when you're whizzing your ingredients.I will say, if you have a small kitchen with cupboards that are fairly close to the work surface, you may struggle to find somewhere to keep it if you wanted to leave it out as it's pretty tall.
