The media could not be loaded. Nice looking lighter right out of the box. It came in nice packaging, a great looking box. The light war itself is durable and easy to fill. The multitool works well to clear debris as needed. It also has a nice easy adjustable flame. Great product for the money.

It looks and feels amazing, you would think it's super high quality product. Easy to fill and turn flame power with screw piece around the fill nozzle.i filled it with Zippo lighter fluid that's working perfect in another lighter, but is taking between 5 and 10 try's to light the flame. I've turned the power from full power to almost to low to light a pipe.It seems the electric spark is to low to light the flame regardless of gas output.I'm going to ask to return for replacement and see how it goes. hopefully its just a bad piece. I really like it and want this lighter to be in my collection.Update: seller was quick to reply to me and is sending me a replacement with no problems! Very pleasant to work with

Looked great online and initially was impressed with the construction and weight. Filled it up with premium butane and adjusted the flame for my pipe. It worked well for a week then it took multiple tries to get it to light. Finally would not light at all. I would have returned it but the time was too close to get it to the return center. The problem is with the ignition spark. It just gets too weak. I know the fuel flow is good because another lighter gets it to light. Is riveted so no way to open it up to see if it could be saved. Look elsewhere if you want a reliable lighter.

Quality, feel is nice, lights every time. Gas window. Scraper tools. Carbon fiber look. Nice pipe lighter. Does take a couple of clicks sometimes to light the lighter. Most time it lights every time. Had to sharpen the scraper tool to get the pipe clean other than that great lighter for the money.

This is a review for the Scotte Pipe Lighter:First the pros.The lighter feels solid and looks great. It might even be considered a piece of art. The hand feel is positive and sure. Fueling with butane for me is not an issue, there is no more real blow back than with other lighters of this type.Now the con (it's a big one in my book):You can never be sure if the thing will actually ignite on demand. It can take as many as 4 or more attempts not to get a flame and give up for awhile. The ignitor spark can be seen, so that is not the source of the absent flame. The lighter behaves as if there is no fuel reaching the spark although the butane level is at full.This lighter will eventually make fire so it is not a complete miss, but at what point do you want a piece of art or a dependable Scotte Pipe Lighter?For the actual construction I will give 5 stars, however because of the lack of a consistent flame on demand I must subtract 3 stars and give an overall rating of 2 stars.

Update: before I had a chance to use it, it seemingly stopped working. There’s a new rattle inside the valve area and it now only lights when held perfectly still or with no wind at all.I’m pretty pleased with this purchase! Feels heavy in the hand with metal construction, the side plates are actually screwed on and have a grippy rubberized coating. The pipe tools are neatly tucked away and small, so a bit fidgety to deploy. likely better as back ups than primary tools.There’s a window for refills, the adjustment is easy with a screwdriver. The flame has been inconsistent, but seems to depend on a slow flick of the lever to let the gas valve open prior to ignition.I’m not thrilled with the color, but seems nicely engineered!

Works great. Easy to light. Accessories are easy to get to.

Overall nice product. Hubby said difficult to tell when filling how long/much actually need to do. There is a gauge window, but first time trying a refillable lighter and it really didn’t register if was increasing.Does take some getting used to how hard you have to press the button and how loud the click it makes.

First one I bought was 1 in 5 attempts to light it.Second one lights every time.So, it is hit or miss with this product.

Feels very solid. Easy to fill. The tools are easily accessible and large enough for the usual pipe.
