Barbie Color Reveal Mermaids Surprise Model

Great Christmas gift. Doll was beautiful and vibrant in color. Waiting to see what color it would be was a fun activity. Good quality and great price.

I didn't buy this product on Amazon, but rather from a store. This Barbie is really beautiful, but it is pretty much un-play-with-able because the entire body from the top of the neck to the end of the tail is just one solid chunk of cheap plastic. It can't even bend at the waist like basic Barbies and its arms as well are very limited in their movement. Even the head is limited in movement- my daughter says she can't look down like a normal Barbie can. I don't know what Barbie was thinking when they designed this mermaid but it doesn't appear to be about playability. It may work okay for a very young child that just makes their dolls hop around but for a child that cares about posing in any way, this Barbie will be a disappointment.
