What's in The Woods? - Coloring Book

Gorgeous artwork. Lots of detail to fill in, but not too much. There is a good mix of very small details and larger images in each page. I purchased both the Woods and Garden books from this line.The paper is very nice quality and takes pencils very well. I found this paper to work better with harder core pencils than with really soft ones. I tired my Prismacolors on it, and they were almost too smeary on this paper because the paper is quite smooth. Arteza Expert, Blick Studio, and Schpirerr Farben pencils all work great on this paper. The images are one-sided, which is perfect if you are going to use a wet medium that may bleed through, although I did not test markers or watercolor pens on this paper. These books are a great value and really a delight to color. I highly recommend them!

I’m not sure why this is marketed toward young kids. It is good for adults also. The illustrations are beautiful and the paper is terrific, it takes water based medium well. I like the information on the plants and animals because I can look things up and use their correct color palettes. I am ordering the other two books in this series.

These are more for adults but my grandchildren loved them. I enjoyed coloring with them also. Such pretty pictures. Have and will buy more.

Charming & whimsical little book I selected for my 5-year-old grandson who loves the outdoors, hiking, and camping. Everything I hoped it would be. WONDERful.

Was purchased as a gift. Child likes it.
