Stainless has a beautiful finish and the 9" length sits perfect in the gunwale of my Grady.
Love this downrigger gimbal. Stainless has a beautiful finish and the 9" length sits perfect in the gunwale of my Grady.Should last a very long time. Though I am not sure if the stainless is worth the extra cost over the aluminum gimbals as a recreational fisherman. I suppose time will tell. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

Cannon 9" S.S. Gimbal Mount
This is a strongly built unit that the manufacturer should be proud of. One of the problems with a Gimbal mount is that they are subject to lots of side force and movement once they are in the gimbal hole or rod mount. This unit out of stainless Steel looks to be strong enough to stand up. I have had several made of aluminum and they just were not strong enough to do the job. The fit and finish is very good and is easy to clean when washing the boat..

WELL MADE! Made with quality Stainless Steel and good welds and then polished to a mirror finish. If I ever need another one I will buy again. Five Stars to the seller also for a prompt delivery in a well packaged box.

The welds looked great, the finish looks awesome and the holes lined up perfectly with my cannon easy trol downriggers. I can't wait to use this setup in March/April for spring stripers
