Amazon does not offer an alternative plug type. You would have to use an adapter.

Q: Has anyone used this with a bottomless portafilter or is the espresso grind more for pressurized baskets?

My espresso machine has a normal basket and while I can use the coffee it grinds at the finest setting , I'd be happier if it would go about 2 clicks finer. I haven't tried it with my bottomless filter, but I'm sure it wouldn't do well. Back to my hand grinder for that.

I think you can. I’ve changed the grind settings with beans in the hopper.

Q: Is it possible to set the grind time for the portafilter rather than resetting the time every time we want to make a shot?

No. It automatically fills for 8 seconds but you can stop it at any time if that’s too long.
