xToolS1 1064nm Infrared Laser Module for Engraving on Metal, Plastic, Acrylic - Ideal for Jewelry, Gift Making

Excellent. Easy to swap out module with XTool S1. Great on acrylic

I purchased the 2w infrared along with the 10w S1 package. The machine is well built and switching between laser modules is very simple. Remove the magnetic distance setter, remove 2 screws and unplug the air & wire connection. It takes all of 30 seconds. The 2w infrared module does a nice job of marking metal all types as well as plastic and acrylic. This is not going to give 3D embossed results but for the price it does allow marking of every piece of metal I have tried. The only complaint I have is that every advertisement I seen on the S1 talked about easily upgrading by simply ordering a laser module. I quickly found that buying just the 20w module is not on the table. You can buy the 2w and the 40w. Overall I would recommend the Xtool S1 great machine for the money and it works both with light burn as well as the Xtoo creative space software.

I purchased this addon for my xtools s1 40 w laser in hopes that it would engrave on glass and metal more. it doesn’t work on glass and its quality on metal wasn’t much more then the diod laser already produced. Overall it does work just not to what i was expecting. It’s a decent laser and XTools customer support did a great job helping me understand for my needs a CO2 laser was more appropriate.A few key notesseems sturdy and as well build as the 40w diodit doesn’t come with an extra distance sensor and you are required to move the one that came with the diod laser back and forth.I was able to engrave on metal business cards with the xtools creative space pre configured settings and got detailed results.I was not able to engrave or cut clear glass or acrylic.The sample pack it says it comes with is just some cheap dollar store metal bracelet.

Like all XTOOL products. Very well made.

Great addition to the engraver. I took off one star for the pricing. I thought it was at least $100 to expensive. Works very well and is superbly built. The little trinkets included were pretty much a joke, but did give me something to test on.

Nice addition to the S1, expands the number of materials can work with.

it's a great laser add on for your S1 The day after I purchased they had a sale that you could get the laser for free with a new machine. their support did offer a partial refund though. So wait for a bundle deal if you can it does work great on stainless and other metals

Must have for your s1 compatible with other models too
