Such nice quality, very fun game and it really brings a lot of laughs. It’ll last a very long time and for the price it’s worth it. Assembly is non existent beyond putting the pieces on the board. The board itself is a nice size and heavy.

This is a quality board game that everyone loves to play. It is a heavy duty wood board and heavy horse pieces that won’t easily break. It also has poker chips and playing cards to use with the game. Used it for a family get together with several friends who asked where to get one! It was a big hit! The box it came in is sturdy enough and holds all the components in it and should last a long time.

I bought this game to play with my young granddaughter who is horse crazy and loves attending or playing horse races. This game is made for adults who have created many variations in play. However, my girl has created her own versions. I no longer even offer candy for “winning” horse bets. She simply loves the action of the horses racing.I wish this came in a regular game board box, but the wooden game board and the metal horses are both beautiful and sturdy. Everything you need is here but the money or candy!

Gather the family, call your friends, its time to go to the races! This fun fast paced game had 10 of my family members around the board hooting and hollering, cheering on the "races". The board is a little big and clunky, so I was worried about that, however everywhere we go, I find myself making room to bring this with us. Once you get the hang of the game, it is easy to explain and perfect for parties!

This is a super fun game for a small or mid size group ! The quality of this set is very nice.

The board is nicely finished, and the all-metal horses look and feel good, and fit well into the holes. However, I didn't think the official rules made the game itself very interesting. so I came up with a different set of rules.1. Horses 2-6 belong to one player, 8-12 belong to the other player. Number 7 starts out scratched.2. You roll the two dice, add the numbers, and that number becomes the currently-selected horse.3. After the roll, but before you move the horse, you can spend 1 of 5 "reroll tokens" to roll one or both dice again, one or two times. This way, if you get lucky, you can designate one of your own horses to move, instead of your opponent's horse.4. Move the designated horse one space (or two spaces for a quicker game)5. Then your opponent does the same steps, with the same reroll options with their own set of five reroll tokens.The winning horse is the first one across the line.We play win - place - show, with 10 - 5 - 3 points awarded accordingly.
