Throw away or keep the old switch for old times sake to show your grand kids what old tech looked like once kinda like the rotary dial phone lol
Arrived on time, well packaged and as described.Over all took me about 15 minutes to install and that includes my DUH moment.Suggestion:1. Before purchase open the current switch you plan on replacing and make sure you have/see the required white neutral wire.2. Download (If you haven't already) the Ewelink app and create account.3. Make sure your WIFI is 2.5ghz due to 5ghz currently not being supported.4. (Optional). If going to use Alexa to operate light, go to skills, enable Ewelink. To install:1. *****TURN OFF THE ELECTRICITY TO YOUR SWITCH!!!!!!*****2. Remove product from box and ensure all required components are included. You should have the switch, switch plate, switch plate screws, a ground wire, neutral wire and product setup specs.3. Remove current switch plate and then remove the switch itself and pull out from electrical box.4. You should see 3 attached wires on the switch, remove the ground (bare) wire, remove the 2 live wires (black).5. Throw away or keep the old switch for old times sake to show your grand kids what old tech looked like once kinda like the rotary dial phone lol.6. Find white neutral wires and connect the included (white) neutral wire.7. Take new Smart Switch and loosen the 4 screws on the back base.8. Insert the neutral wire on the right side of the switch (not that right, your military right) it is the side that is directly under the trash can with an "X" and tighten screw securely. Then give it a tug to make sure it does not come out.9. Insert the ground (bare) wire in the the hole directly next to the neutral wire (it has the fancy ground symbol) and tighten screw securely. Then give it a tug to make sure it does not come out.10. Next select the black wire that goes to the fixture, this gets inserted in to the hole next to the ground wire tighten screw securely. Then give it a tug to make sure it does not come out.11. Next insert remaining black wire in last slot tighten screw securely. Then give it a tug to make sure it does not come out.12. Push switch temporarily in to box (Don't be over confident like me and have the duh moment mentioned next.13. Turn on power and check to see if the WIFI icon is blue, if it is congrats its installed correctly.14. Turn on power and check to see if the WIFI icon is blue, if it is not and you have completely installed and made the switch look all pretty welcome to my DUH moment. Either way if the WIFI icon is not blue then *****TURN OFF THE ELECTRICITY TO YOUR SWITCH!!!!!!***** it means you have your live wire switched with your L-in so pull the switch out of the box and you will need to remove both black wires and then switch the location you inserted them to. If you had my DUH moment and made the switch turn on power and check to see if the WIFI icon is blue, if it is congrats its installed correctly this time.15. Once the WIFI icon is flashing press the on/off circle a few seconds until the blue light changes to a steady flash.16. Now open the Ewelink app and add device and it will walk you through the process, should take 3 to five minutes. If it finds it then you can now turn on/off light through the app.17. To use Alexa to operate the lights (I am and its nice) then open the Alexa app, go to skills, search for Ewelink app, enable, then go to smart home and find devices, it should show up in a few minutes.I like the look of the product, the ease of install, everything needed was included. The switch fit in my electrical box with no modifications.I would have given a 5 star rating, the only thing keeping it at 4 is the loud clicking the switch makes when operating during WIFI commands and when the switch plate is installed it stands a slight bit proud of the wall due to the size of the molded plastic the switch is made from.

Looks nice, pay close attention to the details and do a little checking of your gangbox BEFORE buying
Pro: It fits a standard gangbox and switch plate/cover. It works well with Alexa Installation is a breeze once you identify the correct wires for Neutral (required), Line (required), Load (not required) and ground (not required) It looks nice!Con: The blue power light is always on. For those of us who put this in our bedroom and don't like light pollution (like it VERY dark), this is not ideal The instructions are minimal and written in broken english It works only on 2.4 ghz, which is fine in regard to range/power, but if you have a router that is putting out something stronger, the unit will not allow setup. Make sure your router can provide two different ghz levels so this unit can use the lower 2.4 setting and you should be fineMake sure you pay attention to the description and note that you MUST have a neutral wire. I ordered several of these but have to return some because we have an older house and only the newly updated sections of our house/wiring have neutral wires. This is not the seller's fault - so not part of the rating I gave.... I'm just calling it out so others hopefully don't make the same mistake we did. Check your wiring first to be sure you have a neutral wire (usually white) in the gang box you intend to install this in. The neutral is required in order to give power to the switch itself so the wifi can be on and 'listen' for the commands coming from alexa or your app.Equally as important is to note that this unit will not function if you have more than one switch controlling the item you want to control with this switch. So in our case the room has a switch at both doors and you can use either one to control the overhead lights. This switch will not control the light, even though we have a neutral, because it is at odds with the other switch in the room.

Flawless. Zero problems for nearly a year of operation.
I have 4 so far, that have been working flawlessly for the better part of a year. They fit in a standard (US) work box with standard decora switch plates, and a single switch plate is included as indicated in the photo. Neutral wire is required! If you don't know what this means, watch a few Youtube vids before buying. 2.4Ghz WiFi is also required. Make sure that your home WiFi is 2.4Ghz capable (almost all are.)TASMOTA capable if you follow instructions on the internet, which will open up an entirely new world of possibilities for this switch. The EWeLink app works very well and you can easily schedule the switch to operate at different times of the day. I've had zero problems with updates.

Very Nice Smart Switch.
Very nice smart switch. Easy to install. Easy to pair with the ewelink app from the App Store onto the 2.4 GHZ side of my network and get working with Google Home Assistant. I would imagine it would be easy to get to work with Amazon Echo devices but I don't have any of those. The only complaint that I have is the wires that is included with the unit to use as jumpers for the ground and neutral is to small of a gauge. When I inserted the neutral into the switch and tighted the screw, it was easily pulled out. Luckily I had some electrical wire that I could make my own jumper that was a larger diameter and worked perfect. If you aren't familiar with electricity, electrical wiring and such, I would recommend hiring an electrician as doing this job without the knowledge is dangerous. Once installed and paired, you can control your switch from anywhere in the world that you have internet access with the app. This is a switch and not a dimmer so if you are looking to be able to dim the light that you might connect, it won't do that. You can setup a schedule to turn on or off whatever is being controlled as well.I would recommend this smart switch for anyone looking to get started into home automation. It is controllable with android or IOS.
