Sturdy, Great Suction, Smart Cleaning that Suffers from OCD.
I love this little vacuum so much, I bought another when it came offered as a lightning deal. It picks up dirt that I never thought existed in my house. It seems to be constructed sturdily and it has great suction. It navigates my 8 inch tile and low-pile carpet floors effortlessly. This unit is not a cheap imitation vacuum. It cleans in an efficient S-pattern, and it remembers to go back to areas it missed. It does not "map", nor recharge and resume, like some more expensive units. However, for the price, this little vacuum amazes me as it zips around my dining room chair legs, finds areas it missed, and edges along my baseboards. Now to some caveats: This vacuum suffers from OCD when it comes to edging around my reclining couches. For some inexplicable reason, it is obsessed with trying to get under or around my reclining couches. Sometimes, it spent 20-30 minutes of vacuum time, simply bumping into the cushy footrests and cushioning all around the couch. I dont care what it does generally, but that time would be better spent vacuuming elsewhere. To remedy the problem, I tried powering off the unit. No good. Moving the charging base. No good. Moving the couch. No good. Then I noticed a pattern in its cleaning over each cycle. To make a long story short, I moved the charging base far away from the problem couch, and placed it along the outside circumference of my house. (My house is best described as a 1900 sq ft complex open floor plan shaped like a doughnut, with the "hole" of the doughnut comprising of closets and kitchen cabinets.) Placing the charging base along the walls of the "hole" never worked well, and the unit mostly never found its way back to the charger to recharge. After placing the charger against the outside wall of the doughnut, the vacuum works great and finds the charger to recharge. After several times moving the charger, I have finally found a spot where its happy. It now cleans a carpeted family room, tiled kitchenette area, tiled kitchen, tiled washer-dryer room, tiled entryway and hallway, and part of a carpeted living room, before it needs to recharge - about 800-900 sq ft. The dust bin is large enough to skip emptying once or twice - otherwise, its very easy to dump and clean. So I cant stress this enough: Move the charging base around your house to get the most coverage, and to enable the unit to find its way home to charge. So, after all of my efforts, I have been rewarded with a clean house. Yay. I bought another unit which I will use to clean my carpeted master bedroom, carpeted walk-in closet, and tiled master bath. Awesome. Highly recommend.

Cannot find home and ignores the Tesvor boundary tape!!
I really wanted to like this Tesvor x500 robot vacuum, but after 3 months it really has just been one disappointment after another. At first it seemed to work great, but then it started to randomly ignore the Tesvor boundary tape/strip. It would follow the tape on time and then on the second pass or third pass it would just drive right over it as if it wasn't there and then get stuck on the wrong side of the boundary tape and eventually have to be rescued or it would run out of battery or get stuck on something. The next issue is that is no longer can find the home recharging base. The base hasn't moved, and is up against a big open wall (per the instructions) and there are not obstacles or obstructions, yet the x500 when it needs to return home for charging will bounce around my house for 15+ minutes, driving right past the base unit at least once and then die in the middle of the room. One time it died about 6 inches from base (it was facing away from the base). I have attempted to contact Tesvor support twice via their website and so far NO response from them. I read several reviews that mentioned the great Tesvor support, but I have NOT had that experience. As I stated earlier, I really wanted to like this robot vacuum, but now I have one that doesn't work, that I cannot return. So I likely would have been better off purchasing a more expensive name brand robot vacuum. I'll update this review if Tesvor support ever responds and fixes the issues.

A dud...does not clean my black lined short pile rugs because of the cliff sensors!
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: I have since updated my review from a 2 to a 4. Have basically spent the last 3 weeks going back and forth with the company about what I can do about the cliff sensors and how this unit will not clean my rugs because they have black in them. They said they would send me another unit that was updated. Then they told me to return the unit and purchase another one. I asked them several times how I could disable the sensors. Their final advise was to return the unit and purchase a Roomba that was over $400.....seriously!!! They would not advise me on how to disable the cliff sensors....so I went on YouTube and figured it out myself. The unit works great now, however, I would not advise disabling the cliff sensors if you have steps or any kind of surface the robot can fall off or it will surely fall off!----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------At first I was very impressed by the packaging and everything seemed to be much better than that of another brand of robot I ended up having to return because it took a nosedive off of my steps and crashed and burned. I was impressed with how Tesvor seemed to maneuver in a better pattern than my other robot as well. Then, the rugs!! It will not even attempt to go up onto my short pile rugs and then when I place it on the rugs, it goes in a jib jab back and forth motion and then shuts down. So it is basically useless to me if it is not going to clean my rugs. I have contacted the company twice via email because apparently that is the only method of communication, and I have not received any replies back or help whatsoever. There is no phone number to contact the company either. So....I hope they will be contacting me soon to figure out the problem or replace the unit.
