Q: Can an outdoor light be attached? Does the middle have a snap-out hole?

Yes it is for outdoor use. You will need to add an extension to your electrical box to make it flush with the face of the block. You cut an opening in the block with a utility knife or hole saw.

Q: Can this be used with wood siding already installed?

No. It has a nailing flange. It has to be installed first, then siding overlaps the flange and the face slips over and clicks in.

Q: What size electrical box extender is required since my electrical box is flush with the sheathing?

They are 1.5” deep. I am cutting in a round metal ceiling fan box that Home Depot stocks, but I am adding a fixture where non currently exists.
