Tan Twan Eng 3 Books Collection Set (The Gift of Rain, The Garden of Evening Mists & [Hardcover] The House of Doors) Paperback – August 14, 2023

I am familiar with the location so I was able to compare what I knew to the story details. Most importantly, though, the writing is luminous - such a cut above the ordinary. I was transfixed throughout the trilogy.

I have read all these books and really loved each one. If Tan Twan Eng were a more prolific writer, I think I would read only him and be happy.
