I'm happy
I wanted a pole pruner/saw that was durable and easy to use. I decided on the Jameson homeowner LS series because there were too many complaints online about the typical homeowner brands at your local HW store or the big box stores.I ordered the Jameson LS-6PKG-5 kit from Amazon. It arrived yesterday.I put it work right away. I spent about an hour trimming tree limbs away from the house. I also trimmed several that were hanging too low into the neighbor's yard. I had my kids come behind me to pull the limbs away and break them down.I really liked the kit and thought it was easy to use, especially for a guy my age. I am glad I bought a pruner with a double pulley.I also had a pleasant surprise when opening the box. The pruner in this kit is supposed to be the JA-14DP (1.25" max cut). But the one in my kit had a tag that said Big Mouth JA-34DP (1.75" max cut). I compared the pruner to the photos on the Jameson website. If those photos are accurate, then I definitely have the Big Mouth.I don't know why it was included in my box which clearly says LS-6PKG-5. Mistake? Special? Anyhow, if you order this kit, don't yell at me if it doesn't have the Big Mouth. ;-)

A Professional Quality Tool
I wish I had gotten on of these 20 years ago. Much sturdier than the stuff you can get at a typical big box store or home center. It is not light and you need to have good arm strength and balance to use it well.

Pruner will not cut 1 -1/4” branch and cutter jams
Jameson description says “1-1/4” cut. False advertising. Look at my photos. Blade does not retract enough to allow for 1-1/4 cut. Also pruner blade jams on most cuts and will not spring back to release., always having to shake, jiggle pruner head to get to release. Have tried adjusting all pivot points for less friction but no relief. Poor kinematic design and pivot points and weak spring. Also, saw design ( length and curve) makes it very hard to cut with. Teeth are so aggressive and curve so tight it’s hard to push and pull to execute a cut. My cheap hardware store 20year old pruner/ works better. I do not recommend this product. Now I’m stuck with a $200 tool.

Good product.
I used to trim trees commercially and these are the best, I promise. Don't take advice from Joe Shmoe on this. I've spent a lot of time using these pruners and pole saws. Keep the blade sharp, use a dry lubricant at the friction points, and this pruner won't let you down.
