TetraGoldfish Variety Pellets, Balanced Diet, 1.87 Ounce

I have three Shubunkin goldfish. They gobble up anything that looks like food. I was careful to feed these fish three or four floating pellets at a time. The first time I used this food, It took a few seconds for them to figure out what I was feeding them and then they gobbled up the pellets fast. I then fed them a few more and all three seemed to eagerly eat. I did this process two more times and stopped. I feed them three times a day and they are growing just fine without any side effects. I like to watch these fish eat these pellets. They come up to my fingers to get these pellets.The key, for me, is not to over feed my fish. These are an alternative to other food, such as freeze dried fish food like shrimp and blood worms. They also get Goldfish flake fish food. They get a verity.These pellets have left no discolorations in the water. They work well. I recommend them for any goldfish feeding in small quantities.

Buying again. We have a vacation fish feeder and prefer these pellets over the flakes because they don't get mushy.Pellets are also good for kids learning to feed a fish because they can count individual pellets easier than flakes for more consistent feedings.

We've tried several different foods for our fancy goldfish including some expensive brands recommended on the net. So far, these seem better than most: First, here is no waste like I get with flakes and /or sinking pellets. These 2mm ish round, multicolored pellets float and the fish gobble them down . Because they don't dissolve, or hide in the gravel , they get get eaten immediately. This keeps the tank from getting fouled with uneaten food. It also allows me to control exactly how much each of our three ( 5"ish) goldfish get. (Generally, each fish gets 6-10 pellets, 3-4 times a day so one jar lasts for months!) The fish seem happy, healthy and their colors are great. The water stays pretty clear too. I've deducted a star only because the packaging shown (with the "clear water formula" banner ) is not what got delivered. The ingredient label seems to match though.
