Very sturdy
I am new to working with wire and wondered whether it was necessary to buy something like this. I had tried pounding on a granite coaster (hardest thing I could find), but it left marks, and it did not allow me to paddle.I’m very pleased with the results I can get now using this little Bench block. It works well for working on small components but I think a larger sized one would be a little easier. All in all worth the purchase …

mini anvil surface perfect for desktop needs
A small footprint that still has enough surface to be perfect for my needs without having to clamp something to a workbench. I like the rubber shock absorber, which was the main complaint I had with the mini anvil I was using before this. Its flat profile makes for easy storage or just getting lost on my desk when I move things out of the way to do another step. I mainly use it with my chasing hammer, but I've had no problems with other types of hammers.

Good for wire and metal jewelry
I have used this to hammer some metal and wire jewelry I made. The metal surface of the block was smooth, and the rubber holder around it helped to dull the sound. It worked well, and I would recommend this.

Solid product
I’m happy with this block, the rubber helps mute sound (I often put a thin towel under to mute even more) I’d recommend this for the at-home jewelry making shop.
