Panes is a young British songwriter with a guitar to his chest and a heart swelling with hopes and dreams. A common on-paper pitch, perhaps, and one sold a thousand times before. But Dorset-born Panes has something special to offer those willing to wait a while for their favourite songs to settle into place. Pane's music is succinct, honest songwriting, from a place of deep personal expression, resonating with universal truths and values. His is a deep voice, one that sounds aged beyond its years, and yet, it's telling of timeless stories, endless heartache and forever love. It asks that we all find the right way to see the world around us. Roo Panes is curently supporting Rae Morris on her tour of the UK. Panes released his debut album 'Little Giant' in 2014 to critical acclaim. He was described by Uncut as a 'Britfolk pin up' whose music 'taps a deep well of folk heritage.' Q Magazine said Roo finds 'a positive message in thoughts best left in the dark of night.'

It's all warm and melty
Accidentally discovered this on spotify and (irony of irony) actually went and got the cd. It's a lovely record, great musicality and some depth to the songs themselves, could easily be dismissed as stereotypical, but there's much more to it than that.....as of June 2016 my album of the year so far.

A really superb cd by a real star.
One of the most underrated singer songwriters around today. This young man deserves to be a real superstar. Give this album a listen and you will be sure to seek out his earlier releases. A gem of an album by a gem of a singer songwriter.

An amazing writer, singer and guitarist
An amazing writer, singer and guitarist. I loved his last album so my first play of this began with me holding my breath in with anticipation: I wasn't disappointed. The first track 'stay with me' is memorable and gentle listening and sets the tone for the album.

A Wonderful Album
Andrew ‘Roo’ Panes gives us here his second album, and it has to be admitted that it is a real pleasure to listen to. With a clean, crisp and mainly quite minimalist soundtrack this is something that really gets to you. The lyrics are certainly mature for someone who is still under thirty years of age, and touch upon incidents that we all experience in our lives, as well as one on a storm, ‘Summer Thunder’.Roo’s vocals soar out here giving this a certain grace that is not often heard these days, and all the tracks have a certain more traditional approach, but with a contemporary Pop influence which comes through really well, making this something that probably a lot of people will enjoy, from various age ranges. On the track 'Vanished Into Everything' there is also a strong Classical presence. It is the maturity of the lyrics and the cleanness of the whole sound here which creates such a soothing ambience that is so distinctive. In all I have found this to be quite relaxing and is ideal for some quiet time out.
