AntexReplacement soldering iron sponge for use with ST4/ST6 (Y1144P0)

I purchased two of these, to replace one I've had for years and have a spare as well. I bought them from this site and seller, as it is supposed to be the original manufacturer of the product (Antex) and gives the code number of the soldering iron and base it is supposed to be used with - so as I wanted it for that exact product, there should be no issues. However, there were, and I can't recommend this product.They are nowhere near the thickness of the one pictured, nor of the original. In addition, one of them has been torn instead of cut, to shape, meaning it doesn't fit in the recess correctly. Please see the attached photographs.I wondered if adding water would possibly make the material thicken up - it does, but only by a very small amount. The original foam was thick from new/dry.Definitely do not recommend this product - but please be aware if you buy it.

I bought this as a replacement for the original Antex sponge which lasted 10+ years of abuse.This one has lasted only 12 months.Bits of the foam are now disintegrating and attaching themselves to the soldering iron as soon as I try to clean it.Awful.

just the job works well

The sponge arrived early and worked as expected. I would buy again from this seller.
