Never been disappointed with an Anker product yet..
I recently bought a new desk that allows for adjustable height because some times of the day I feel more productive standing up than sitting. On the desk sits my desk top computer keyboard and dual screens, a laptop, a wireless charging station for my phone, two charging stations for handheld 2-way radios, and a couple universal USB cables for various charging of devices.I wanted something simple and clean looking that I could mount to the rear of the metal desk drawer shield on back and have enough of a longer cord so that if, or when, I re-arrange my office space, I can deal with just about any wall plug option that would otherwise prove frustrating with a shorter cord. Some cords are less than 3ft, and had the 10ft corded unit been available at the time in Black, I would have opted for the even longer cord still yet.The convenience this offers me as far as outlets and USB adaptations is more than enough even for my busy desk needs and the creatively diverse lineup Anker offers as options for a few other custom office/home use applications really has been helpful in keeping wiring under control and simplified from dual USB wall ports for cell phone charging, and behind the Television setup in the family room, to the most basic 3 way plug, dual USB connection mini-plug with a 10ft cable for the WiFi stealth installation above a curio cabinet.

4000 joules of surge protection, oh my!
I'm using this to plug my grow lights into. I have some T8 Fluorescents but mostly LED stick lights. They weigh nothing but the cords are not long enough to reach to the wall outlets. I can set this on the top shelf in the middle and all the cords will reach it, plus it has USB ports for me to plug my USB fans (for cooling the LED lights) into. Or there are enough outlets left (and they are well spaced so there is plenty of room) that I could use the wall wart for the fans. I plug a GFCI adapter into the wall outlet, plug a timer into that, plug this into the timer, and then I can plug all my lights into the surge protector. The T8s draw .53A each, and the LED stick lights only draw 1/3rd of an amp, so I'm not getting even close to the capacity of this device. I could have used another couple feet on the cord length but this is near enough. It does its job.If you're looking for a surge protector, don't accept anything with less than 2000 joules capacity. I weeded out so many "surge protectors" that had like 250 or 350 joules. I cannot imagine what those are good for. Just marketing hype. Glad I found this one.

Great product but wall mounting needs work
I think this power strip is great! Overall design is great, but there is one problem. One essential to my selection was that the strip is wall mountable. Prob. #1: Although there are Four slots on the back for mounting, only Two can be used if the switch on the right side of the strip, and the other Two slots can be used only if the switch is on the left. This means that when you want to put out a plug, you might have to put one hand on the strip and one hand on the plug.Prob. #2: The slots on the back will only accept (hook onto) mounting screws that have Small heads. Before drilling holes in the wall, make sure that you have screws that fit the slots on the back. Prob. #3: Because the heads of the screws will need to stick out from wall slightly in order to fit into the slots on the back of the strip, if you are using anchors made for drywall make sure that you have the right anchors. For example, the butterfly kind won't work here.

So good I bought another
This power strip is so good I ended up buying another one after receiving the first one free for review. The spacing between the outlets is set up for regular plugs and this big box plugs and having the USB ports is an extra convenience. I have not had any trouble with overloading; it is built to handle the power output needed for all of those plugs being used. I also love that it plugs into the wall flat, making it better to go behind furniture. The only thing that would make it a tiny bit better is if the wall plug would pivot, but this model offers different cord lengths so it is really a non-issue. I also like that it comes in black and white; the black looks good but the white is easier to see in cramped dark spaces. Either way, this is a great power strip.

My first Anker Purchase
This is my first Anker Product I have purchased, and I am very pleased. The quality looks and feel very high and well built. The white is beautiful and blends well with my white walls. It has 3 usb outlets which is a plus (charges on 15watts just like an iPad charger which charges my iPhones pretty fast), cause I use them to charge the kids iPads and their other gadgets. I love the way the plug is angled to the right to give way for you to be able to plug in another large power adapter on the bottom the wall outlet. I originally purchased the Philips 10 outlet surge protector with 2 usb outlets, but returned cause I needed more outlets. I am very happy I found this on Amazon, it was cheaper than the Philips I purchased on Target Store. I was debating between the Anker or the APC surge protector, I chose the Anker due to having 12 outlets, 3 USB(3.1Amps) and 4000 Joules protection, compared to APC 11 outlets, 2 USB(2.4Amps) and 2880 Joules protection. Oh and the Anker is $33.99 and the APC is $37.05. I don't trust those other brands in the market when it comes surge protection, only pick a brand you can trust. Will be purchasing more Anker products in the future.
