Easy to install, simple to use.
I have an Abode home security system. I bought 3 indoor/outdoor cameras to be used outdoors with the package, but I mistakenly assumed the Abode I/O cameras were rechargeable battery-powered cameras like the Abode doorbell camera. Nope. They have to be connected by USB-C cable to an electrical outlet. I should've read the fine print. So, I needed an extra outdoor camera and decided to buy this one after reading multiple reviews. I believe I misplaced the instruction booklet after I first opened it, but no matter. There was a QR code to scan which took me to the Vico Home app download. The app has the installation instructions, but this is pretty simple to install. The Vico Home app also guides you through pairing the camera with your Wi-Fi and set up. I cannot say enough times how much easier it was to install this camera and connect it through the app than the Abode cameras and devices were. The Abode was a giant pain in the butt to connect devices through their app. Every device was a struggle, some devices didn't work, and others wouldn't work until they had firmware updates. Even then, it was still a slow process (up to half an hour) and took 3-5 attempts (one took over 10 attempts!) before it would work. This app is highly intuitive and simple to use (MUCH, MUCH SIMPLER THAN THE ABODE APP), and I had my camera connected and running within 3 minutes. I can delete unwanted video so much easier than Abode. It has a select all feature that allows you to delete all video clips at once. This camera has an alarm, and the notification that detects motion has a simple link to click to activate the alarm without having to search through the app to do so. Or, you can set your camera's alarm to go off for 5-10-15 seconds anytime motion is detected. You can talk to & hear the other person. You can even turn on a light to illuminate a dark area to record it to view live. You can set the camera to black and white mode but it will switch to color when the light is activated. Or you can leave it in color mode all the time. I leave one camera in B&W mode because the area is dark and you can't see it very well on live view without turning on the light when it is in color mode. That said, I prefer the color mode when recording people so it doesn't wash out their faces like B&W can do. The idea is to give the police good video of a burglar's face. It's hard to do that in B&W mode.My only complaint is the speaker on the camera isn't very loud so they may not hear you clearly through the camera when you speak. I would also prefer it be 5GHz-capable since I have two 5 GHz channels and only one 2.4 GHz. But it works well regardless.Overall, this is a great camera system and I plan to buy 3 more for all 4 sides of the house. I may update this review later to report on the camera battery life.UPDATE: I bought 4 more of these cameras for my home's exterior, plus an Allweviee PTZ camera here on Amazon that uses the same Vico Home app. I'm sure all these cameras come from the same factory in China. Anyway, I now have full coverage around my house. The Vico Home app had the PTZ controls for the camera as soon as I installed it. It also allows for multiple presets, so I can make the PTZ go where I want it in one tap.Ultimately, I would like to integrate all these cameras with the Abode system, if possible. I haven't yet played around with the Abode system enough to know if I can, although I doubt these cameras will integrate. Regardless, it still alerts me to the exterior motion around my house and does it more rapidly than my Abode doorbell camera does. I can activate the camera's alarm with the quick touch of a link in the app's motion detected notification. I can activate my home alarm remotely with the push of a button if needed, and it's monitored. The process is pretty seamless in spite of this camera being on a separate app.So far, the first camera I set up still shows a full charge 12 days later. My Abode doorbell cam is down to 81% during the same time. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase and I would recommend this to anyone.UPDATE 11/27/23: I'm still very satisfied with this camera. But I want anyone who reads this teview to know, the 2-way talk function is mostly useless. It's not just this camera; it's the same with most cameras I've used in my security system. The speakers are not loud enough, even on full volume, indoors or especially outdoors. If you saw a criminal on your camera and you called out to them, they likely won't hear you no matter how loudly you speak/yell into your phone. That feature is worthless. The siren is loud enough, but the speech function is not.

Me fascinaron

Will be buying another one soon.
As described. Arrived quickly. Easy to use and set up. This is the third one I have purchased. You do not have to pay a monthly fee to view footage. There are more features available if you want to purchase them.

Good quality image camera!
Got this camera 2 months ago for my back yard. Price was really good and most of the reviews were also good, not to say it was Amazon’s choice!!! It is a good camera with very clear day and night images , but the battery won’t last as long as I would expect it. Not sure if it was a defective product I got or if that’s something normal on these cameras. Because of this I can’t give them a five star rating. However I updated my initial review because the seller has been very responsive and offered to replace the product or refund me, since the return window was closed. Their customer service team was very helpful and willing to solve my issue.

Good faith gesture
Update 6/6/2024I wanted to post an update. I was contacted by the seller. We had messaged a few times about my unhappiness with these cameras. They said they’re gonna work on making some changes to make them better but in the meantime since it did not work out for me and I mounted them on my concrete house rather than send them back and then have all kind of work to do to fix the holes they told me just to keep the cameras and then they would refund $100.I told them I would be happy to update my review which is a total honest update. I have changed from one star to now three star because I feel that they made a good faith gesture.Original ReviewI now have rated a three star because I was refunded some of my out-of-pocket for these cameras and I can use them on live view only and hopefully maybe at some point if they do make changes and it’s software firmware related that I would be able to update and have cameras that would actually work as a security system. The only way I would feel like I haven’t been cheated is if I could rate this so-called security system in negative numbers.Where do I start.First I want to make sure I get this out there. Yes I’m aware that there are number of settings on the camera and I’ve tried them all so if you’re thinking, maybe this guy is an idiot and he doesn’t realize there are sensitivity settings and there are five or six other settings that will affect the triggering of these cameras. Yes, I’ve tried them. I’ve tried different field of views. I’ve tried different angles these things just do not work. When I purchased four of these things with the solar panels I figured that I couldn’t expect too much because of the price. The cameras do have a really good picture. The resolution is fine and I was overall surprised they did that. Well unfortunately that’s where everything ends. I thought that if I purchased a monthly plan that would fix the shortcomings of these cameras unfortunately it does not, and the seller admits that the cameras don’t do that well for triggering on objects that are moving linear toward the camera and that they have to be within 30 feet to trigger which they don’t the only thing my cameras trigger on and it could be 150 feet away are cars driving down the street at 50 miles an hour. I have four of these cameras and I wanted them to be able to trigger if somebody was attempting nefarious things at my home. Unfortunately the cameras will not trigger by a person unless they are about 10 feet from the camera and the seller admits this and as I stated to them, what good is the security system? To have it secure your property basically you need to have a camera 10 feet from any area that you want to be able to Secure and have a video record of somebody trying to do something they shouldn’t be doing.I’m not sure about most people, but that’s not my house. My one camera on the side I thought would be able to keep an eye on the side of my house unfortunately unless the people are trying to steal the camera itself, it doesn’t trigger. They need to be within 10 feet of the camera for it to trigger and record. And this is the same for the camera at the back of my house and in the front of my house and I even mounted one right in the driveway because we have a canopy and I mounted it right on the post and unless the person is within 10 feet of the camera and my car is more than 10 feet long so therefore They would have to be on top of the car for them to be within 10 feet from the camera before it would record and I don’t know about car thieves in the sellers neighborhood but in my neighborhood they don’t climb on top of cars to break into and steal them. But the cameras will trigger for every other reason known to man, these cameras, false trigger for everything for sun for clouds thermals all of that they will trigger, but if a grown man is 20 feet from the camera, jumping up and down and yelling and screaming, they don’t trigger. He has to be 10 feet from the camera for it to work. These are just plain junk. Now that I put holes in my house I’m not gonna take them down so the only thing they’re gonna be good for live viewing they do that well. If you need cameras just to be able to look outside of your house if for some reason you’re unable to go outside and look for yourself then these might be OK, but they certainly are not a security system unless the thieves are the ones selling them because anybody could break into my house and these cameras won’t even trigger. But if you’re looking to secure your house from clouds and shadows and thermals, because we all know how those are so dangerous to the security of our homes and our families then these would be what you should buy because they’ll trigger every time the clouds come by and they block the sun and you get shadows and when the sun heats up the house or the sheds and it causes thermals these cameras will trigger every five seconds.Just saying.
