Play Create Learn How did you come up with the idea for this product? In 2013, Mogees founder Bruno Zamborlin came up with the idea for a device which could turn any object into a musical instrument. After years of extensive research and development at the institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique (IRCAM), Mogees Pro - the company' first product - was launched in 2015. We are now pleased to present to you our new product, Mogees Play, affordable and accessible for all. What makes your product special? Mogees Play is totally unique and applies the power of machine learning to gestural recognition, allowing any object to be converted into a playable musical instrument or controller with virtually no time delay. It’s a device with almost endless possibilities. What has been the best part of your startup experience? The success of Mogees Pro has been astounding and it's amazing to see Mogees being used in such a range of ways. Great fun - nice piece of tech. And almost certainly educational too.
Delighted to finally get my hands on one of these. It’s a really solid, nicely-engineered piece of tech and the bundle contained everything we needed to get going. Downloading the apps via iTunes and getting started was a doddle, as was calibration. It’s not gimmicky either; we’ve certainly not tired of playing with this. Aside from the apps, which are nicely put together to enable users to explore various different tactile applications (although, the ‘Keys’ app was a little difficult) there’s still the inexplicable thrill of turning objects at hand – including children’s heads – into musical instruments. Following extensive testing, an engineered wood floor serves as a very practical sounding board, as did a honeycomb-structured internal door. Looking forward to newer apps in the future to really push the tech forward. Great fun. And almost certainly educational too.

Such a shame
Doesn't work how it says it will, the recommended app to download isn't available, the registration code doesn't work. Choice of music to play in maestro is poor, pulse is boring. Fantastic idea badly implemented. Waste of money.

Fantastic bit of kit.
Fun and easy to use with the Keys and Pulse apps. Highly recommend and my kids love it, so money well spent. :)

Fun, yet powerful
It's a tiny little thing, but the potential is massive. Stick it to a hard surface, open one of the apps, and you're in another world. I'm a musician, and bought a Play during the kickstarter. I now use it all the time, to add a strange, beautiful, melodic quality to my recorded work. My son uses it to play games - he likes Pulse - which is great, because it means he won't get his sticky fingers all over the iPad!

what do you like the most
write your comment here. what do you like the most? what do you like the least?I am very disappointed with the product! The Mogees Play works very badly. I do not know if it's because I had the misfortune to come across a faulty copy or do they all work that way? Once connected to my iPad I can hardly turn up the volume that a shrill and incessant noise is heard. I repeat I am really disappointed. I was expecting so much from this product. I do not know if anyone can help me. In any case I have not found anything on the website of MOGEES PLAY, or elsewhere, which speaks of this problem. I strongly recommend this product to anyone who expects this to happen as videos!
