This was perfect for a smores night. You can use it inside or outside. It is very versatile. It was easy to build and use. It even came with a pouch that hold all the pieces together.

There are different configurations for different types of fuel sources but either way the unit gets hot. I was looking for something that we might be able to use inside the house on a family movie night or something like that but this unit is specifically for outdoor use only. The directions are a little scant on the individual pieces that go together and for some reason, I have a couple of extra pieces that don't show up anywhere in the documentation.

I'll admit it...I was very skeptical, when I first ordered this thing.It arrived in a nice, mesh, very packable bag. It has a very small footprint, when broken down. And it is very lightweight. So it would be great for bringing on a camping trip (if one were on a camping trip where it was either not possible, or impractical, to build a traditional full-sized fire).Setting it up was easy, using the pics provided. You should probably plan ahead for the fuel that you'll need--the capacity of this mini pit is very small, and you'll need something that will burn for awhile (so, not little bits of kindling). This is the one time that I would consider buying non-treated compressed wood, meant for this purpose, from your local hardware store's BBQ pit section. I just used some sticks that I had around the end of my driveway (from last season).Even though some of my wood was still obviously green, this fire pit really did not smoke at all. It burns very efficiently! I love this, because it produces less pollution (in terms of smoke) than a traditional fire pit, or fireplace. This means that we are being kinder to the Earth when we use pits of this type! (Not to mention, that I suffer from asthma, and really shouldn't be around smoke.)I highly recommend buying this sweet little pit. It's all that you'll need for a nice night on the patio. I would suggest putting it on top of a heat-resistant silicone or fireproof mat, for it does get quite hot to the touch. Other than that precaution, though, it's ready to go!

As the snow blankets the scene outside, I find myself with a new item, yet to be put to the test. The build quality, as you can see in my photos, won't exactly leave anyone in awe, but here's my take right out of the box.Credit where it's due, the stowaway feature is a plus. The design, coupled with strategic air hole placement, suggests it'll handle sticks quite well. However, let's set the expectation straight – this might not be the item to turn heads, at least not from my first impression. Perhaps I ended up with an outlier, but the overall build quality seems to leave room for improvement.

This is the cutest fire pit I’ve ever seen and perfect for sitting around the table or a small pit for warmth while camping. It comes with detailed instructions for assembly and a bag for easy storage. I would definitely get it again!

We had an outdoor Halloween party and we put it on a table for people to warm their hands and to make smores. Used pellets in it and they burned fine. Very warm and lasted a decent amount of time with minimal smoke output. The stand wasn't very sturdy but all in all it was good for the price.
