ProCaster Workbench CastersThese improved casters were designed by our team to make them the best casters possible to move heavy workbench and furniture. What has been improved ?We improved pretty much everything. First of all, we made the steel part thicker making it impossible to break. Second, we added 3 holes on the top and at the bottom of the plates so the casters can be screwed on the workbench/furniture and stay in place. Third, the bearings and the wheels are of higher quality, enabling the casters to move smoothly with any weight up to 800 lbs on them. Fourth, it is now easier to lift the workbench/furniture because we modified the sliding section on the pivot arm which make the lifting way smoother. Finally, the overall quality is way better making the casters build to last forever. How are we MUCH better than our competitors? The question is pretty easy to answer. After a thorough analysis of what should be improved, we went back to the drawing board and we created the best workbench/furniture casters. The competitors products have only 1 hole at the top and at the bottom of the plate for the screw to hold the casters. Furthermore, their casters have weak thin steel and low quality wheels and bearings. Easy installation With every set, comes an instruction guide which explains all the quick and easy steps to install the casters. There are multiple ways to install them. What’s included in the box ?4 casters (4 Steel pivot arms and 4 wheels), 24 screws (6 per caster), 4 nuts and 4 lock washers

Great set of casters
Comes with all needed hardware and easy to read directions. The brackets are solid and the casters roll and turn smoothly under load. My workbench weighs several hundred pounds and it's now a trivial matter to lift and roll in whatever spot or orientation I need. The directions call for a 2 inch height from the bottom, but I would add an eighth or quarter of an inch to that to avoid the caster from getting wedged if the wheel is turned into the leg. Minor annoyance, but easily avoided if the brackets are mounted just a bit higher.

Outstanding Product! Great Customer Service
Really enjoying these casters. Best of both worlds...able to move my woodworking table easily around my shop. ( Garage) and then lower the the table down to floor level with no chance of it moving. My table uses 3 sheets of 3/4 plywood, table saw, router....dust collection and hand tools stored under it. The casters easily move all of it around. The box includes everything you need to install. Since I am a beginning woodworker I wanted to ask some questions to ProCaster about weight and installation. They responded very quickly, answered my questions thoroughly and seemed very happy to do so. I can tell they are proud of the product. I am very happy with it...so happy I have ordered another set. Don't hesitate if you need a quality caster at a great price and a company that values your business.

Great quality, strong, easy to install full review.
I installed these casters on my homemade workbench, my bench its small 24" x 48", but it is solidly constructed with 2 x 4, so it is on the heavy side.On the bench, I have an eight-inch wheel grinder, a vise grip, and a heavy drill press, all which are permanently attached to the bench.Plus whatever I decided to place on top, such as a few days ago, where it had on top, two disk brakes, two brake calipers, and few wrenches, I am explaining these so you have an idea of how much weight those wheels will need to support. With all of that weigh on top, I am able to move my bench around the garage without any trouble. The wheels glide smoothly over the concrete floor.Of course, after I move the bench around, I immediately release the wheels, so the bench stays firmly in place to avoid an accident.I am not having issues with the wheels holding that much weight, I have forgotten to release them on a few occasions, nevertheless I recommend that you do not leave them permanently carrying too much weight, as eventually, it could affect the roundness of the wheels, and ending in a jumping bench every time it's moved. Also, these casters do not have locking wheels (which will be redundant, as there is no need for it), it is advised for safety reason to release them while not in use.Installation requires you be precise with your measurements, especially if you are attaching them to wood legs. Otherwise one may end with an unstable bench. In the pictures, you will see one wheel with the lever push down and the other one is released, while in the release position the caster will rest on the floor without carrying any weight, the bench legs are the ones carrying all the weigh. When the wheels are set up as per the instructions, they lift the bench by about 3/8" (10 mm), so definitely these casters are for fairly smooth floors, they may not work as well on floors with bumps or holes.I hope that you like this review.

Beware of the supplied mounting hardware. Not Phillips, they are JIS. On my second set.
These are great workshop casters. I have the "old style" ones on several tables in my shop. This is my first purchase of the "new style" and they are as well constructed as the previous version. There is one problem, though. They are supplied with mounting screws, and I had a problem with the heads stripping out. Lo and behold, If ound that they are not Phillips-head screws as they look to be; they are Japan Industry Standard (JIS)-head #2 screws. JIS hardware looks superficially like Phillips-heads, but they are not. Very close, but a US Phillips screwdriver will not fit well. I switched to a JIS #2 driver, which I luckily have for the hardware on my Toyotas, and the mounting with the supplied screws was quick and easy. My caster set came with 26 screws, so there were extras to replace the couple that I ruined with my Phillips driver. UPDATE. I now have bought and installed a second set of these, and they are still excellent movers of heavy benches. But, the issue with the supplied installation screws remains. The JIS screws were not a one time issue.ANOTHER UPDATE - just bought and installed a third set. Same screw head problem, so this time I used my own hex drive screws and mounting was much, much easier. I did find another problem. The directions call for drilling holes 2 inches and 4-3/4 inches from the bottom of the leg. This is 1/16 inch off from the actual distance in the mounting plate. You will find drilling at 2 inches and 4-11/16 inches will make mounting far easier. Once mounted, they function well.

Works as Advertised
I built my work benches 10 years ago according to the EAA plans. At the time I didn’t bother to put caster on them. These benches are massive 8ft long X 2Ft wide, reinforced tops with ¾” plywood and doublers on the legs to make them sturdy &, which they are. Unfortunately, sturdy also meant impossible to move.I finally decided to get casters. My research led me to the Procaster product and thought I would give them a try. I am more than pleased with how they operate and can now easily move my bench anywhere in the shop. I can also remove the casters easily with at the additional quick release plate to eliminate any tripping hazard. I am so well please with how the work I will be adding them to my other bench soon.

Decent product, but could be better
These are great, I’m able to move my woodworking bench that holds the majority of my tools with ease.I’m giving this product only 3 stars as the lifting castors tend to get in the way and trip anyone and everyone who walks by. Adding an additional bracket would be simple at the manufacturing level so they could easily be removed. They are simple to install, however I wish they lifted about half inch higher.

Excellent product
I just installed my second set of these on my new HD workbench, which when loaded is very heavy. I drilled a hole in the flaps (where you would normally step with your toe), and installed a metal bar between each pair on the short ends. I can activate them in pairs by using the metal bar, so now I can easily raise either one end or both. The workbench glides around super easy with these casters, and they pop out of the way when not needed. My bench overhangs on the ends so I don't trip over them.I also use them on a small worktable that has my minilathe and jointer mounted back to back. It is usually tucked into a corner and comes out for work. This table is very heavy also which keeps the tools from chattering in use. The casters make it very easy to move out for work, and roll back into its spot again. Plus I can turn it around to get at the tool I want to use. I added the metal bar on this set as well.I have some other tools with locking swivel casters, which also work well. But even locked, they can allow the tool to move a bit on my smooth concrete floor. The Procasters allow you to drop all of the weight down on the legs where is should be, so it doesn't move until you need it to.Be careful installing to get the placement correct, and consider adding a metal bar between the pairs to make it easier to engage.
