1/4/2019For some reason the lights are now working better. They light up most time when a drawer is opened. They will not work for smaller drawers where there is limited distance between the installation point and the top of the drawer.I currently use motion activated lights in all of our dresser drawers. We replaced our bedroom furniture and I liked that these lights are compact and emit a warm light. However, they do not function properly. They do not consistently activate when there is motion. I have mounted them in various places and the results are the same. Even when I run my finger over the sensor the light may not activate.There is a "constant on" setting on the switch which does allow the light to function, but that defeats the purpose of the motion activation. Also, the switch is very small and because the light is magnetically connected to a metal plate which affixes via 3M adhesive, you must remove the light to use the switch. Also, while the magnet connection makes it easy to remove the light for charging, it also makes it easy to knock the light from the magnetic mount with the slightest touch.

I have a number of these lights now and they work great! I've had some for several years and they hold up well to being recharged and used. These are an essential part of my "dumb home" automation.I use these in drawers so they light up when the drawer is opened. They use IR to detect whether anything is above them, so in some drawers there are only certain positions where they'll work - i.e. if the surface above them is too far away then they'll turn on when the drawer is closed.Highly recommend these - the warm white light is soothing and not harsh at night, and it's a good amount of light for both small drawers as well as entire dresser drawers.

These tiny lights are useful positioned under a tabletop to light the area where I keep files. They are not bright but are adequate for my purposes. There were two in the package, which I appreciated, and they recharge easily. If they are motion activated, I am not aware of it.

I ordered several items. I use those lights for the drawers in my desk (see picture). One of them I mounted under desk to view the different switches for my computer.It very easy to "unplug" it to charge the batteries because it magnetic fastening. I check time to continuous working after full recharging the battery. It works during 3 hours and after that it works extra one hour, but with not bright light.One of the item did not work at all. But customer service is very good. They send me immediately new LED light without any problem.I recommend this Portable Light.

I set this up as a "when I get close" light for our espresso bar. I'm sleepy in the morning and don't want to turn on the kitchen lights, so this light offers a mellow-but-sufficient glow for me when I walk up in the dark to make coffee and when I walk away it shuts off. The charge lasts a very long time.

I have moved to several different places and doesn't detect motion. I even moved hand by sensor at different distances and very random it will light up. I gave 2 stars because when it does light up, it gives nice light. won't purchase again.

These lights are more than I had hoped for when I purchased. They are perfectly sized, smaller than I had thought, but that worked out for me in the long run. I love the ability to charge them and not have to deal with batteries. The light is a really soft glow and works perfectly for my needs.
