I've had this for 2 months now in my gti. At first I got the regular quad core, but it was slow to respond so I returned it and got the octa core which is this one. The response time when you press something is great, major improvement, but the downfall is the this GA8153A takes a whole minute if not more to be usable.The music does start playing about 30 seconds after ignition is on, but you can't do anything on the screen for a good minute, which is annoying if you need waze or to select the music.Waze is another issue, it isn't stable on this unit at all. To use it you have to be careful not to press the GPS button and open the app from the drawer at the same time, or the entire system eventually crashes.Even when you're careful it will crash as if it's not compatible.This happens to me on 10% of my drives and is extremely annoying since I use waze most of the time.Powering off doesn't resolve the issue, neither does updating it.Tl:drI would not recommend this head unit to anyone because of the instability. Not satisfied.

This thing performs - very glad i returned the quad core model to pick up this 8 core, it is much faster. I am not a fan of how far back the LCD screen is recessed from the rest of the bezel, the rest of these android radio sellers have the screen more flush. The screen is pushed back a good half inch on this model

I was impressed with this unit, very good upgrade for your vehicle, i would have rated it 5stars, but i was bit disappointed in the response time after you switch on the ignition, takes more than a minute or so to fully load...But if something that small wont bother you, buying this unit will be a great investment

After 2 weeks the stereo randomly shuts off and wont come back on unless you shut the car completely off and back on again. Multiple attempts to contact seller no response. Need to have an admin password to reset to default.
