Outstanding piece of kit
This is such an amazing one man tent! No better on the market! Some may be lighter but none as a roomy, so the weight ratio is above all others! It was recently hammered in the Scottish highlands by wind and rain and didn’t let me down once! Highly recommended for the serious outdoors folk amongst you 👍🏼💪🏼⛺️

Super Tent
After reviewing 1 man tents for several hours finally decided on MSR Elixr 1 in preparation for Walking West Highland Way. Great decision this tent is super light and sturdy. Plenty of room and can easily sit up to cook etc. Excellent quality has to be 1 of the best 1 man tents on the market.

There isn’t a better one man tent for the money
After some very lengthy researching reviews I came to realise this seems to be the best tent for my 4000 mile bikepacking tour in April. I’ve just received the tent today so only had chance to put it up at home and it’s brilliant, so quick and simple to put up in under 5 minutes! Just as quick to take down and packed back into its sack really well too. I zipped myself inside the tent and it felt really warm and cosy and phenomenal space inside for a one man tent!!! I’m 5’10 and still had a couple inches room at my head and feet and plenty of space both sides, I can sit right up inside too! I know this will hold up on the weather too because I watched a reviewer on YouTube in 80mph winds on Dartmoor using the Elixr 1. Credit to MSR, for the price you won’t get a better one man lightweight tent. Happy with the delivery too, arrived on a couple days.

Almost an ideal one person tent.
Good headroom and surprisingly roomy for a one person tent. Most people will be able to sit up in this tent.Decent sized porch area and plenty of room to access the tent.Storage nets and hanging loops are a useful feature.Negative points are that only 10 pegs are supplied, yet there are 11 peg stake out points. The fly sheet could do with being 6 inches longer all around as in driving rain the rain will hit the inner.

A quality product
Well made, quick easy to put up and take down. For a one person tent plenty of space and headroom.

My favourite!
I have several 1 person tents for different scenarios but, am seriously considering selling them all, as this is by far my favourite all-rounder. Roomy, light, and nicely finished. I have the green version - why anyone would go for the more expensive, washed out grey one, I don't know. Have used this in Cairngorms snow -no complaints. Well vented, so let your sleeping bag do its job and you'll have a comfy, moisture free night. Also bought the additional 'gear shed' to store/air damp bike gear on road trips (yet to use gear shed). Love it!

Why buy a Hubba?
Amazing solo tent. Used for cycle touring trip over multi days. Lightweight (not much different from the Hubba), comes with footprint. Great space (I’m 6ft 2in). Big porch. Great value.

Super Zelt!
Klare Kaufempfehlung!

This tent literally saved my life.
I don't write many product reviews. I'm just too busy doing other things. But in this case, I'm going to take the time to review this tent that has literally saved my life on a few occasions. For background, I work as a backpacking guide for an educational organization in Montana. I'm often out for 3-12 weeks at a time in the summer and fall. The courses I teach take students out into a variety of rough landscapes - the Bob Marshall Wilderness, Glacier NP, the Great Burn WSA, Upper Missouri Breaks, and the GYE. I need a solo tent that can handle extreme temperatures during both seasons, is supremely waterproof, that's fairly lightweight and easy to set up. The Elixir 1 has ticked every single box.Pros:- the quality of the materials are the biggest pros for me. Everything feels extremely durable. The fly and floor of this tent are twice as thick as many other one-person ultralight tents, which of course means the tent as a whole is heavier but supremely waterproof. This saved me more than once when we were caught in extended periods of hard rain. On one occasion, we were caught in so much rain that the cirque started to slide. Several tents were pushed down slopes by mud and every single tent flooded...except mine. I was bordering on hypothermic having spent 3 hours counting between thunder and lightening strikes to determine whether or not to keep students in or out of tents. If my tent had flooded and my sleeping bag had been soaked through, I'm really not sure I could have re-warmed myself.- The pole system is elegant and very rigid. I spent several nights in winds exceeding 40mph and the tent barely shook. Especially when guyed out, this tent is rock solid.- The weight and packability are fairly good and more than worth it for the superior materials- This thing is roomy for a one-person. I'm over 6' and can stretch out completely without touching the tent walls. I can also sit up inside and change clothes/read without my head being cramped. It's also wide enough to where I was able to store most of my gear and clothing in the tent next to me, which was an advantage during those heavy rains and muddy camps- That being said, the vestibule is very roomy - plenty of space for my pack and extra gear- The gear loft pockets are very convenient for small items- The general aesthetics of the tent are excellent - classic MSR colorsCons:- I used the footprint on every occasion for extra protection. I do wish the footprint's rivets were designed to where the tent could be moved with the footprint attached (otherwise, when you pick up the tent to move it, the footprint just falls off and it's a pain to reattach)- The default stakes should be replaced with MSR Groundhogs. I do this with every tent. If I was MSR, I just wouldn't bother manufacturing any other stakes. The Groundhogs will save you some weight, they don't bend, and they're way stronger than the hook design.- While the colors look sharp, the white tent fabric does show every spec of dirt and mud. Some backpackers take pride in their gear looking filthy. I do not. They could replace the white with a grey that would hide more dirt.- Ventilation is fairly good, but it could be better with an additional fly vent or two.All things considered, this little tent is just perfect for the price. Serious kudos to MSR for designing a bombproof tent for all conditions.
