When I want to chill I often put this on. Nice in the car as well. Just pretend you are in old days Paris for a while. Lovely album.

I new that the French had produced some good tunes leading up to the Second World War in the 1930's and 40's. This compilation confirms that pre-knowledge.The reproduction is well done and the quality of the sound does bring back the spirit of what was a dark time in the end for other nations as well.I have discovered an appreciation of Edith Piaf and Charles Trenet.

From a great range of French popular song collections on CD I first chose this one since it was the only collection that appeared to include my favourite French song, 'Parlez moi d'Amour'. Overall it's a worthy selection, some dross best forgotten, but recommended if you want to be reminded of when the French could write good popular music.

La Vie Parisienne is absolutely delightful. I love the quality of the recordings, the chosen artists, the entire atmosphere when listening to this CD abounds with the perfect vibe of Paris. It will be well used and cared for.

I bought this CD after hearing it being played in a cafe and have not been disappointed. It is very easy listening and very evocative of the era and i would recommend to anyone who enjoys being transported back in time to a more romantic age.

A good mix of chansons of 1930s and 40s France Some drops which can be skipped but a few of my favourites on the disc

This is an excellent selection for lovers of this period [in every sense!] Lots of these you will have heard elsewhere, but this is inevitable with an anthology disk. There are always some new delights - and you'll never hear them more brilliantly restored than here.

Sind leider nicht die Lieder, die ich erwartet hat. Rücksendung vollkommen problemlos.
