Complete Data Interpretation for the MRCP, 1e (MRCP Study Guides) Paperback – 2 May 2001

This book is an ABSOLUTE MUST for any Medical SHO, regardless of whether you are sitting your exams. It provides very comprehensive and clear explanations of data interpretation, many explanations were so crystal clear you wonder why other books made it all so complicated.For example the Endocrinology section discusses high and low dose dexamethasone suppression tests (when to use them and what the results mean), short and long Synacthen tests (and what those results mean), thyroid, gonadal and pituitary dysfunction are all also well covered.I had 9 books out from the library for MRCP 2 Revision - this is the only one I will buy to keep for myself.

I heard about this fantastic book.I was surprised by its small size and I thought,I wast my money again. I started to read and Oh my God.No such value book pass in front of my eyes such this book. Honestly many questions in the exam came from it and in your all medical future life you will still get benefit from such tinny book.Any investigation you want to interoperate in real medical life or in questions you will find it in this book in very exciting way.

Yes have the full interpretation & explanation but it could be more conclusive

Unfortunately I didn't get as much use out of this book as I'd hoped mainly due to time constraints. This book deserves time to sit down and understand what it's offering enforced by good examples. I particularly found the cardiology section questions about pressures in the heart and whether they meant PDA, VSD, ASD, pulmonary hypertension, etc. The metabolic section is good as well. I had very little time to revise for my Part 2 written as I applied straight after I got results for Part 1 which gave me a total of 6 weeks. I did however, skim through the answer section at the end without doing all of the questions and gleaned some useful information. If you have time and a little motivation, then this is a great book.
