A great gift for those who are into this sort of thing. It took my wife and I about twelve (12) hours to complete—we’ve never done anything like this before though!I am SHOCKED I didn’t destroy this thing at like five different points. The pieces can be mad small, and most are surprisingly hardy, but some are more delicate—and the more you put it together, the more delicate portions of what you just built become. The instructions are alright—decent enough to get through without TOO much confusion, but could be better. Also, the instruction ORDER got fairly questionable at times, particularly towards the end. We often found ourselves wondering why it would have us doing things in a way that only increased fragility and future-connectivity-difficulty. And putting it all together at the very very end was QUITE the test since you’re aligning a bunch of tiny holes and connectors, many of which you can’t even quite see and are a millimeter off, leading to some frustration. I ended up being a little more liberal with the glue in the back half.I only broke two of the small pieces partly—one of which there was a spare for, and the other was easily masked/glued back. I also partly broke one of the bigger awning pieces, but it did not snap off and was able to be completely fixed/masked. I don’t even know which piece it was anymore.Despite the complaints, my wife and I had a great time building this thing. The lights are a nice touch and were easy enough to do the wiring for. Again, for noobs be expecting about a 12 hour commitment. We did it over the course of 4 or 5 days.

I like the idea that the wooden kits now contain scenes rather than models. The instructions are pretty clear. I had a couple of problems and one complaint. There was a bookshelf that had too many books to fit. It consisted of a rod that contained sets in a 4,1,4,1,4 pattern. It was 1 book too wide. Maybe I made a mistake but could not find it. I just made one of the 4 books into 3 and it all worked. Second problem is that plants must be glued in. They can easily fall out of the pots otherwise. There are many other places that are a little loose and glue may help.I had no problems with the light. It was pretty straight forward. My complaint is that there is a touch switch to turn the light on/off and a hidden power switch. I am sure that the touch switch must draw power even when off and the battery compartment on/off switch can not be reached without removing the back panel of the model.

This was the first booknook I did and it was so fun to put together. The pieces seem well constructed and the instructions were clear. I did have a few spots where I couldn't figure out quite how to put a piece in place, but I checked a YouTube video and it made sense. I will definitely buy more of these to put together.

This was a gift for my daughter and she loves it. Arrived in record time and perfect condition. Cannot wait to see it all put together.

I love building legos and wanted to try something different. This turned out beautifully! It wasn’t difficult, and was fairly easy to put together(I did break a couple notches on some pieces but with glue it worked out), glue worked great as long as I didn’t put too much on a piece then it dried fast. I would take a break after gluing some pieces together before attaching. I was a little nervous about the wiring for the lights but it was straightforward. I’d definitely buy another

Awesome kit. Instructions are clear and detailed and everything fit together as indicated. Have some model or super glue handy to tighten up key spots. Have bought another kit to try
