These filters were nearly identical to the filters that came with our KitchenAid range hood and installed hassle-free and as simply as the original. Another positive aspect here is you get two filters here for roughly the same price as a single OEM replacement filter found elsewhere--nice. I can't really speak to durability or how easy they are to clean yet but they look to be made of the same material as the original filter that came with the range hood which we have had in place for nearly 10 years now.On the con side of the ledger and a difference of particular note between these replacements and the original is the replacement filter does not appear to have as much filtering capacity. I get this from holding the replacement and original filter up to window and observing how much light is let through. In fact, taking both of these replacement filters and stacking them on top of one another appears only to have slightly more filtering material than that of a single original filter.All in all, I'm happy with these filters primarily for the fit and value. I'm just concerned what the reduced filtering means over time for my range hood.
