Started out with good feelings about this product, I have a lot of wire to strip and searched for a while, saw this read the reviews and ordered. Afternoon it arrives I set it up as per the enclosed instructions. First length of #8 stripped quickly and efficiently, however this happiness was short lived, after this wire I fought with the stripper, the textured rollers got gummed up very very quickly and now they don't grip the wire and pull it through the stripper, ok I thought maybe I was doing too long a length, cut what I have into 2 foot lengths, but no, still an issue with not gripping the insulation enough to drag it under the cutter, tried adjusting the front plate, this ended up catching the outer insulation and stopping the wire, then causing the rollers to tear the outer jacket to shreds and jam the stripper. Re read the instructions and adjusted everything within an inch of its life, and still figuring with it, to the point I've given up and decided to go the tried and tested way of stripping with a knife now. I may try again in the future but right now I can't bring myself to fight with short lengths of wire I can strip very much quicker my hand than use this. Good idea, just think the rollers need redesign to be more robust.Firstly the seller reached out to me and all I can say is thankyou for the support regarding this item, they sent me a replacement, the next model up and I can say this one works absolutely as intended and is amazing, to the point I steipped at least 500ft of #6 wire in about 20 minutes, it took longer to clear up the mess.I didn't write ths review to get any sort of freebie etc, I just wanted to give an honest opinion about a product, I don't normally write them either, but I definitely had to update this to 5 stars. If this one breaks I will most definitely buy this again.And if asked I will recommend it too.

Not what I expected! Started off good with the first piece of #8 wire and then wire goes all over the place. Wire doesn’t stay centered. Honestly disappointed!

To get it to do the wire I was using it for i needed to make several adjustments to get it to split the wire properly but after that it was only minor adjustments with the top knob. You will want to sort your wire by size so you don't have to keep making changes. I use it mostly for 14 and 16 Guage wire 12 and larger I find i can strip faster with a knife. But i tried it with 12 and 10 Guage and it performed good.

Update: the company has reached out to me. De discussed the issues I was having. They are sending me a replacement unit that is updated. Their customer service was very helpful and friendly. Hoping this unit does a better job. Because of the customer service I would consider buying other products from this company.Does not strip wire like the video or pictures. It takes a lot of minor adjustments for every wire you put through it. Even when sticking to the same gauge wire. Should have spent the extra money and got a bigger automatic stripper. This is a waste of my time at this point.

Have put several types of wire through it have not been able to strip one piece

i received my item and it was as described. was very hard to get set up even mounted to my workbench. once i finally dialed it in right it worked good until the wheel gunked up. the wire i was stripping was very clean. mostly brand new scrap pieces left over from jobs. i had to get a brush and clean the wheel out 10+ times just stripping about 70 lbs. it works great and if the wheel didnt gunk up it would be a 5 star.

I've used it on different sizes of wire and was very impressed. Once you adjust the blade height to the perfect position for the wire, stripping results very quickly. This will save me time in the future and it will definitely be done quickly. If you're on the fence about this, the time savings and quality workmanship will pay off.

After using it for a while, the wire will not stay centered so the wheel will not cut the center of the insulation. Tried to adjust many times no success doesn’t matter whether I use THHN, or wire, stripped out of Romax. I will say the thicker the wire like number four cut it better but not great.

Bottom guide isn't centred with top blade, runs off really easily
