Casual home user/homeschooling projects. We had a black and white printer but just needed the option for color for certain projects. This works well, prints good enough quality for our use. Wireless connection works without problems. It seems to take a little bit to fire up and get going when first printing but overall the print speed is acceptable and does not affect my opinion. Haven't tried generic cartridges yet as the starter cartridges are still going well.

Have been using the Brother printer for several months now. It has performed very well, no matter what I required it to print. It is easy to operate and has many options that can be used when printing. The color printing is accurate and provides great copies of work and certificates

Purchased the printer for light duty home office paperwork. Easy setup. Print right front your phone through the app. The best part is the ink won’t dry out like an ink jet printer!

This printer will refuse to work if it believes you have exhausted any of the four toner cartridges even if the toner still has life in it. I cannot find anything online about how to reset a toner cartridge count to bypass this, so I am forced to buy a new toner cartridge even if the one I have is working just fine. There is no reason for this to happen except for Brother to screw its users and force them to buy more toner cartridges than they really need. Super disappointing--after owning a much older Brother printer that didn't have this issue, I didn't expect Brother to do this. It seems Brother has decided to stick it to its customers. I guess I'll be looking for a different brand.Also, if you use this for any significant amount of scanning, know that it only scans one side of the page unless you physically put documents on the scan table. So, if you plan to scan anything, especially mail, don't get this printer.

LOVE this All in One with (everlasting) toner, unlike the new inkjet printers where the cartridge dries up and won't print if you don't use it daily!! Beautiful 2 sided copies, I could go on and on A+++++++ LOVE LOVE LOVE this all in one!

works good. easy to set up. I don't print often and got tired of my ink printer always being dry when I attempt to print something requiring ink replacement. toner doesn't dry out like ink when not printing often. wifi set up was easy. has a whine to it when starts printing but dead silent when not doing anything. doesn't take up much more room than my old cannon ink printer.

Amazingly easy printer to set up.I'm a geek so it was easy for me.But compared to my HP Office jet it was a breeze.I highly recommend it.Lazer printers are a lot better for you anyway.It prints, copy and scans like a champ its big and heavy, but well made!.I may get rid of my HP Printers, they are a pain in the neck to set up!

I have always used Epson and that old printer that used ink jet cartridges is the worst. I waste ink cleaning the printer head every single time before I print the actual documents I need, otherwise it would print with gaps or misaligned texts.This is my first Brother device.PROs: Setup was easy. Works on both proprietary and open source OS. My PC uses Linux Mint and I added it from network, and Linux has a native scanner application that picked it up without a problem. I also added it to my Windows-based laptop from network as well. Just like Linux, Windows 11, in this case, has a native fax and scanner application and it also detected the device right away.I did a quick test print after and it spit out super fast.The size is just right for what I was looking for. It fit the table where my old printer was.CONs: Nothing for now.Here's hoping this one will not give me the same issues that my old printer did. Also hoping the toner cartridge will last longer than the ink jets.
