A well equipped thief, neither will stop, someone with maybe just a screwdriver looking to steal your car that does not have an encoder chip, seeing something like this, they will move along to an easier target.

Cutting the seat belt has nothing to do with this. This works great car anti theft loops through the steering wheel and locks through the seat belt buckle. if someone wanted to really steal your car with this on they’d have to have a heavy duty steel cutter.
