Starting to turn colors already 🫢
Update 2/18/24: Customer service reached out to me and helped me resolve the issue. Upgrading from 2 to 5 stars based on great customer service.Case was delivered December 6, 2023 and immediately used. Pictures of case taken on January 15th, 2024. I have the white titanium iPhone and I really didn’t notice the color change until I took the case off the clean my phone. It looks like “gunk” in the corner of the case buts its embedded in the plastic. It’s just fading. I put the case back on my phone, and now I see what looks like a tortoise shell color around the edge of the entire case and the edges of the camera opening. I predict it’s only going to get worse over time and it’s showing because I have a light colored phone. Can’t unsee it now :-(Overall it’s a good case, so far it has protected the phone from a couple of drops and looking at the phone from the back it’s just fine, except for the tortoiseshell effect around the camera opening.

Not totallee impressed
There is a box somewhere in my closet of phone cases I’ve bought through the years, it numbers close to fifty, of every conceivable style and materials. This is my first from this company. I’m going to direct compare it here with one I bought the day the iphone 15 pro max was released, at the time it was the only clear one available, it cost me just under ten bucks and came with two glass screen protectors.FIRST IMPRESSIONSMy Totallee clear case arrived today and my very first impression was I wanted to just send it back. I had been under an impression due to their omnipresent advertising that their cases were the thinnest on earth, but the first thing to put on the checklist is that it is not ultra thin, or even somewhat thin. It is almost exactly the same as the cheap one in fact they both weigh in at 1.2 ounces. I’m disappointed.WHERE IT COMPARES FAVORABLYIt definitely is more clear. I thought the other was clear until I held them side by side and suddenly it seemed yellowed next to the Totallee. That’s a plus. The only other plus, and I say that conditionally, is that the button covers are shiny silver and raised more so my fingers can actually feel them. The other case’s buttons are nearly flat and I have to turn the phone and look at them to find them. I said conditionally because I don’t like button covers and I thought Totallee agreed with me. Their website for this case at the time I ordered it here said no button covers, and this page coyly avoided showing a good picture of them. I asked them and one rep told me only the volume controls had covers and another rep told me that all of the buttons had covers. Unfortunately I didn’t get that important information until after I had placed my order. To their credit the metal-looking covers have a feel similar to Apple’s cases, which is to say they feel natural. The reason I don’t like covers is that Apple spent billions on designing their buttons to have an ideal touch to them. They are completely dust and water resistant, they do not need to be covered. I do not understand why the designers of this case made what seems to be a last minute decision to put covers on the buttons.THE ACTION BUTTONThis is the first phone, and hence the first batch of cases, that have to deal with the new action button. which is getting a lot of flack for being in the wrong place, too small and too flat against the phone for a finger to find it instantly and press it when needed, whether that be to silence the phone or to open the camera, turn on the flashlight or whatever. The cheap case made it worse and basically contributed to making it almost useless. The Totallee case wisely raised the height of the cover slightly so it is easier to differentiate from the volume buttons, and being silver helps to visually find it, in other words they did a good job on that and earn points.WHERE THEY WENT WRONGAs a direction comparison of this thirty-five buck case against one that I got for under ten bucks the cheaper one wins on having a larger opening for the USB-C plug’s grip, some of which are larger than others. This one is just barely larger than the OEM cable, but could be an issue with other accessories. The low-cost one also has substantially beefier corners, a higher protective surround lip for the screen and a thicker and higher lip around the camera lenses. And sadly it also has a stronger magsafe magnet than this case that costs over 300% more. This case is barely able to hold the weight of the 15 pro max. And finally the ten buck case has a hard clear acrylic back and TPU sides which make it comfortable and almost slip proof, which the Totallee feels slick and slippery by comparison.YES NO MAYBEAs always I abide by the criteria set here that a product should be the best of the best to earn five stars and in my opinion this case does not meet that criterion. Part of me wants to send it back, it’s just not that much better than one at a fraction of the price. But I put a lot of emphasis on the button feel because they are there to be used. And especially the new action button, which as a photo enthusiast is extremely important to me to be able to open the photo app quickly to capture those special moments. I dislike the feeling of having been taken in by the barrage of ads how thin this brand is supposed to be, I expected something less slippery and I feel their messaging was very confusing about whether or not it had button covers, that seemed like a last minute gotcha that I’ll have to live with. I want to say this only earns a three for average and overpriced but it is borderline and for now I’ll use that extra point but if I end up returning it I may drop it back down again.

The perfect case
Tried no less than 50 cases. If you want a clear TPU case, this is the one. It’s perfect.

Not as thin soon as I thought
This case is definitely not as thin as it seems (Really thick borders around the case) there’s definitely other cases out there that are thinner including one I purchased from this brand that I loved for my iPhone 14 Pro Max last year. I believe that one is just called THE SUPER THIN CASE with Magsafe, I would rather have that one.

Great product
The totallee Clear Case for iPhone 15 Pro Max is fantastic! It perfectly showcases the phone's design while providing reliable protection without any added bulk. The case is ultra-thin and lightweight, yet it feels durable enough to handle everyday bumps and scratches. The snug fit ensures that the phone stays securely in place, and the precise cutouts allow easy access to all buttons and ports. It’s exactly what I was looking for in a minimalist case—sleek, functional, and protective. Highly recommend it for anyone who wants to maintain the natural look of their iPhone!

3.5 stars even 3.75 stars is accurate
After doing my homework on what kind of cases were available for the 15 Pro Max I decided to go with this clear case model. This has been the first new iphone that I’ve had since Aug 2020 when I acquired the Yellow iPhone 11. Since yellow isn’t an option I got this color and I wanted to admire it a little longer so I got the clear case.It is thin. It is thin. It is thin. If I had kids I would not buy this case. The front bumpers are perfectly fine as are the reinforced corners. I may even give it four stars by February. We’ll see how it holds up.
