WELL ACTED, BUT DISSAPOINTING!.
So Clark Gregg acts, wrote, produced n directed this film, so one can say this was his baby. He is in every shot of the film from beginning to end.Mr. Gregg from AVENGERS nice face special agent that also acted in the previous Marvel superheroes movies like "iron man", "the Hulk" and the new ABC series based from the Avenger film gets to play a not so successful Hollywood agent for mostly kids that he feels got what it takes to make it in the business, but ending up losing them to another agent more known than him in the industry by the casting agents representing the film companies, simply because this guy makes a habit of stealing any talent prospect he finds by bribing them with new truck, or electronic gadget to either the parent of that child or and the child as well. This competition among them based back when someone they both dealt with ended up comitting suicide and each of them blames the other for it. Anyway, the film acting by Mr Gregg.and surrounding supporting cast was very good with Amanda Peet, as his love interest whom is about 20 yrs younger than him and Felicity Huffman known for roles in Juno and the new TV show Mom among other things although don't expect any funny lines coming from her in this film. William H Macy had a very small "cameo" apperiance that was over before u finish sneezing maybe for the sake of just having his name among the others that really played a role in the film. I was disappointed because as others have described in some of the reviews this movie is NO comedy! yeah there is a line here and there coming from different members of the cast at different times enough to make u smile but nothing drastically funny. This is a more of a drama about the struggles of getting and becoming successful in the show business industry or more like letting you know your chances are a million to one shot to come across something that would make it happen for anyone. When you watch the previews to this film they were good to make sure they show you those small seldom moments in the film where someone says something remotely cute and somewhat funny but when you watch the movie they don't have much of a surprise to you because you have already seen it in the previews. So they deceive you trying to sell it you as a comedy when is not and by the time you find out they have already taken your money!. Anyway story line keeps taking you in different directions that there are times when you don't know if you are coming or going. Ending up with a real life and sad issue we discover half way into the movie and nothing funny about it!. Sorry but I kept waiting to see "THE HULK" or "Samuel L.Jackson come and jump out and surprise you due to not being able to take him serious enough playing this different role as a different kind of agent even when he decides to wear an earing in this film not sure if to distract you enough for you to forget roles he's played before or he just wears it in real life and decided to keep it on "his film". I don't think even Mr Gregg was himself convinced enough this film had what it takes when it was released in cable at the same time that is playing in theatres to make sure people not convinced enough to go see it in the big screen, well heck let's make sure we bring the film to you within the comfort of your home and still have the opportunity to cash in those extra few bucks from people like me trusting the film you expected to see but it wasn't looking at Mr Gregg's kind of innocent face he has, that feels like is telling you on the cover of the film "Trust Me!" but what is really saying after u seen the movie "GOTCHA"!.

A great, unconventional movie
Caveat: I love Clark Gregg. Having said that, this movie shies away from most of the cliches, giving you characters that are both loveable and un-loveable, having flaws and staying away from one-dimensional boredom. The movie follows an agent in the cutthroat movie world, making people mad but having them turn around and be incredibly nice if you have an up-and-coming star. It definitely makes me glad I'm not in that business! The ending was unconventional, but definitely wraps things up. The actors do a great job of making their characters believable, and the different locales are gritty and "real" feeling. I'd definitely recommend this to my friends.A bit of language as tempers flare, but not overdone.Trying to think of a target market is hard; we watched as kind of a "date" movie, but not a RomCom (although there are some elements), some action but definitely not an action adventure. More of a "slice of life" with people in some tough life situations.

Dark Comedy with a Neo-Noir Vibe
To start off, this movie has a fantastic cast. Even the smallest parts are played well, and the leads are all stellar. I confess fully to being biased when it comes to Clark Gregg, who I already adore, and the ever-lovely Amanda Peet, but even actors I was less familiar with and the handful of newcomers really shone. Don't walk in expecting all laughs. It's a dark comedy, which means you'll feel like grabbing for the tissues as often as the popcorn. The balance between the two is handled with real grace, and what the movie sometimes lacks in subtlety, it easily makes up with substance and heart. Well worth the time and money - you won't be disappointed.

A case of marketing midleading the premise
I really wanted to love this movie. I'm a huge fan of Clark Gregg and the acting was exceptional. I think the marketing misled me into thinking this was something lighthearted and comedic. While it did have comedic moments, the story was very dark. I like these small indie movies and it's a great showcase for talent and you never know when you're going to discover that one great movie that becomes something that resonates with you. I'd really like to know what I'm getting into, or even better, go in with no expectations and be surprised. I think the marketing let this movie down and left me dissapointed with the experience.

Clark Gregg was great as the lead actor and the director
I was expecting a comedy (based on the trailer) but boy I was wrong. This movie has a big heart and quite entertaining. It is a dark comedy so keep in mind that you'll get your heart stumped on towards the end.Clark Gregg was great as the lead actor and the director. The new girl I'm not so sure about (sorry new girl) If you're a Clark Gregg fan then go for it. I enjoyed it.

Not really a comedy, but still a good watch
It really isn't a comedy, but I love Clark Gregg so I thru out my misconceptions and took the movie for what it was. I would say this is a poignant tale of a man seeking to regain something lost. This movie left me staring at my screen saying "what the hell was that??" and "oh my god that is so heartrendingly sad"

Great ideas but not fully fleshed out
Great ideas but not fully fleshed out. I like Gregg a lot as an actor and this movie is very thought provoking with lots of symbolism about the industry and how it sucks you in and plays you. Visually, though, I kind of wanted it to match up more with the darkness the script is conveying? Great cast.

Loved Clark Gregg in this
Loved Clark Gregg in this. The story is fun and engaging but takes a surprising turn towards the end that was a little unnecessary. Regardless of the plot twist, the movie remains fun and the acting is quite superb by all involved.

Trust Me
