Game Changer
Combined w/ Ableton Live the PA12 is a complete game changer when it comes to running multitrack audio for live shows. Combine that w/ it’s ability to run fully redundant and small enough to fit the entire rig in a 2U fly rack and you have a clear winner.

Amazing interface, great value!
Amazing interface. We run live shows with it and so far we had nothing but great things to say about it.

Solid interface for live performance
When my old 2009 MacBook Pro had a battery die, I finally upgraded my gig laptop to a 2017 model. While the laptop is awesome, my M-Audio Quad did not play well with the new OS, and there was no plans by them to update it, so I was stuck with upcoming gigs and no audio interface. After a bit of research, the PlayAUDIO12 sounded like it would fit my needs.I needed an interface that would connect via USB and give me at least 6 separate outputs for various instruments. Inputs were not important, nor was MIDI, but I could not tolerate much lag, as this was going to be running all my synthesizers on stage. I also wanted a redundant connection to be able to have a hot spare laptop as an emergency fallback. This device handles all of that, and then some. I've been gigging with it steadily for the last 6 months and have had zero issues, except when I updated the firmware without backing up my config and lost my presets, but that's on me.Please note I have not used any of the MIDI capabilities of the PlayAUDIO12. It acts only as an audio interface for MainStage to send softsynths out different audio channels. The iConfig software is not pretty, but simple enough to use and the documentation is sufficient to get sound and redundancy up and running in a few minutes. The MIDI and audio routing is graphically displayed in the software, and is straightforward for those with experience with this kind of routing. To sum up: On a variety of different Mac systems, when used as an audio interface, it is a rock solid, good sounding device. I will definitely be purchasing a second one to have as a backup.
