My daughters purchased this Present Self "Storm Glass" for me for Mothers Day this year. They know how much I LOVE meteorology and Astrology. Especially weather:)I cannot say enough about this beautiful "Storm Glass"! It is not only a display piece(IMO), a piece of handmade art, BUT, a weather predictor as well. Old Mariners used them to predict stormy weather and/or hurricanes before they planned to leave port and set sail. My late Father had made one for himself and I always loved it.I have this on display on my bookshelf. I also display the wooden box and the pamphlet explaining the "Storm Glass" and how to use it. It's a piece of art, a GREAT conversation piece and I feel like I am sustaining the art of glass blowing and the old maritime beliefs all at the same time.We recently were hit by Hurricane Florence:(. I was watching my "Storm Glass" closely alongside watching the NOAA app. I have to tell you, IT WORKED!!The "Storm Glass" is impeccably packaged in a BEAUTIFUL wooden hand made and wood burned box. It is lined with styrofoam to ensure that it arrived intact. NOTE: Keep the packaging as if you ever need to move/store it, it fits inside like a glove!! It also comes with a matching wooden base for the "Storm Glass " to sit on and display.I would absolutely purchase this again to gift someone. I Love It!!💖

Gift for my Mom! She loved this storm glass. It's more of a decorative piece but very pretty and it comes in a awesome wood box that you could use for storage.

I received this product as a gift, and must say that it was truly well received. Packaging was well prepared and protected the storm glass. The wooden box that it was presented in was amazing, with branded wood logo and well crafted joinery. Inside was a beautiful wooden stand for the glass, as well as printed materials explaining warranty information for the product. Finally, for the scholar in all of us, is a brochure outlining the techniques is developing the storm glass, including its history over the years and instructions to read and interpret the weather.Very pleased with this product, it has an air of well-crafted quality with a structure of durability and lengthy use. Well worth the money for years of enjoyment.

I had high hopes for this from the reviews. It is sitting about 16 inches from a window and I allowed the 14+ days for it to acclimate. We had a series of snow storms, a blizzard, freezing rain and varying daily temperatures shortly after receiving this. It has NEVER changed for any of the weather. Once in-awhile I will pick it up and shake it like a snow globe just so it will look pretty for a couple of hours, but other than that it's a waste of money. Disappointed!

This is really cool! We were looking for a few things to fill some shelf space and picked this amongst some others. Now that we have it, this will get some more prominent position than we planned. It’s bigger than you think in a good way.The quality is better than I thought and was really impressed with the packaging. The brochure was a nice touch and actually pretty informative.Regardless of how well it tells the weather, it’s a really neat piece to have in the house. Big fan!

I bought this for a birthday gift foor my daughter so far nothing in the glass has moved at all. Even on the days we have had snow!! The storm glass is very pretty and the packaging it comes in is very nice. Couldn't give it 5 stars because nothing has happened with it. 2 stars for the packaging!

I purchased this for my boyfriend and he absolutely loved it. I was kind of up in the air on what to get him, but since we just moved from California to South Carolina I figured it would be a cool gift for us in the winter time. It hasn’t stormed yet but the flakes change in the water glass depending on what the weather is going to be for the day and so far so good! Love it so much, I definitely want to get my mom one for her next beithfay for a fun gift!
