I've been waiting so long for someone to make hot rollers this large
These rollers are perfect for me. I have long hair, past my shoulder blades, with slight layering and long bangs. My hair is curly, but not kinky and it gets frizzy/poofy with humidity. It's thick, but only b/c I have lots of fine hair. I can wear it curly or straight. (People think that sounds heavenly, but it can be a curse with humidity, especially when I want it straight.) In the summer I let it air dry, but usually have to dry and curl it in the winter and when it's chilly outside.I love hot rollers for the ease of them, but until I found this set, they have always been too small for me. Since my hair curls really easily, I end up with too tight of curls with smaller rollers, even the 1 1/4" rollers that some would consider big. Through the years, every time I saw hot rollers with a bit bigger roller, I would buy them. Most of the time I would end up using my large barrel curling iron to get a softer curl.I'm am so happy with these. I just got them and I've used them three times so far. Once with slightly damp hair and the other two times on dry hair. My hair came out fuller when it was 100% dry first. The curls I get are soft, more like waves. I couldn't be happier, exactly what I wanted, a bit more body than what the curling iron gave me.If you're looking for curly hair with these, then get a different set with smaller rollers. If your hair is fine and straighter, I would imagine that these would do nothing for you. Straight/fine hair would probably slip right off of these rollers. If you're looking to soften your curl like I was, then get these!I use all eight, four on top and four on the bottom. I'm not a huge fan of the clips, but they do work for most of the rolls. The last roller closer to my forehead, flips forward b/c the clip doesn't hold it in place, so I hold it there for a few seconds. That is for my bangs, so I don't mind a little less curl with those and do that one last. I tried the clips from my other roller set, but they didn't work.I cut my hair curling time in half with hot rollers b/c you roll each one and by the time you get to the last one, you're ready to take off the first one. Not like a curling iron b/c you have to hold it on each spot before you move to the next. I use a little bit of aniti-frizz gel and I have body all day with these. So glad someone FINALLY made a hot roller this big! Yay!

TRASH Product. Don't buy it.
For reference, I have fine hair, mid chest in length, naturally a slight wave. My hair curls very easily and holds curl for days. . I can use just about anything and get a great curl. Except this product.Issues:-The red light is supposed to turn white when the rollers are ready, but it never turns white. So you just have to guess (this is a very common problem based on internet reviews, so I am not the exception)-The clips that are supposed to hold your rollers are the biggest issue with these curlers. They are not strong enough or tight enough to hold the roller. So you roll your curler up nice and tight and high on your head for that volume and blow out look....only for the clip to let the curler fall 5 inches and the weight of the curler pulls the top of your hair super flat...meanwhile your ears and face are being burned by the curlers that have now fallen against your skin.Anyway, after 25 min of the rollers being in, it looked like I blow dried my hair straight. No curl and the slightest bit of volume that flattened within 10 min. (Tried uploading a pic, but it won't work.) Immediately boxed back up to return! Save your money and find something better.

Wouldn't Want to Live Without Them
After not checking luggage on flights for the last seven years, I've started checking my luggage just so I can take these rollers with me when I travel = I use two sets so I just take one complete unit and an extra set of rollers. Okay, yes, I'm crazy but my hair ALWAYS looks great. That's not vanity - that's a fact.Yes, the clips are useless - I use the claw clips from the smaller (purple roller) size and with a little practice I have a found a way to secure them quickly and firmly on these larger rollers. I have bought every new version of electric roller since they started making them and can vouch that Conair is always the best.

Clips are too small.
Many reviews have noted the clips are too small—they are the same size provided with much smaller rollers—but Conair isn’t responding. If you can figure out just the right angle to apply the clip to each roller so that it doesn’t fall out, you will like how these smooth your hair. You’ll need a second set to cover all your hair—or use smaller rollers if you have them for the lower part of your hair. This set has a cheaper feel than do Babyliss roller sets.

Okay
These are harder to use than I was expecting. The fasteners don't hold as tightly as my older set of rollers which to be fair are smaller. My hair has grown longer.

Perfect rollers!
These rollers have changed my life. My hair is long and layered and thick and frizzy. Any other roller gives me curls and I don't want curls. I want to throw rollers in my hair and have them straighten and smooth it while I run around getting ready in the morning. Every inch of my frizzy hair must be heat treated after I blow dry and I don't have time to stand and use a straightening iron on every stand of hair on my head. These are perfect. I read the bad reviews about not being able to keep them in your hair with the clips but I decided that if I had to wrap each roller in aluminum foil to get them to stay in my hair I would do that. Nothing was stopping me from using these rollers! Here's the trick I came up with to keep them in. Roll them up to your scalp, of course, then use one of the white Conair roller clips (sold separately) with 30 teeth each on the bottom of the roller. Next, use the clips provided with these rollers which have four really long teeth on the top of the roller and besides grasping the roller you're clipping onto the bottom clip as well. Voila! It stays. After a few tries you can roll your hair in no time and then jerk them out and brush and go. You get height that is so nice at the scalp. I took one roller out and replaced it with a smaller jumbo roller from another set to use in the crown for added height. Then I just straighten the end of that one curl. I'm not sure how they will work in other types of hair but if you have crazy hair like mine that you would like to smooth and straighten look no further.
