HICKIES Tie-Free Laces (2.0 New)

I use these in my trainers.They ‘work’ really well and add a nice bit of colour to the white trainers.

The product is great and I have several pairs. But, if you have a problem, they will completely ignore you. One of mine snapped a couple of months after purchase. I now can't use the set and they just ignore me. They're not cheap, so completely ignoring a customer isn't acceptable.Have emailed many times (to multiple email addresses), used the website support and contact forms, tweeted them, contacted them through amazon. They've just ignored every one... Hopefully someone there might care about a 1 star review and contact me.Update Dec21: Hickies now have new management and a really responsive customer service team. They've gone out of their way to help resolve the problems. I can definitely recommend them again.

Whilst these are expensive compared to normal laces they did exactly what I wanted and mean I can slip my fashion trainers on now but they are still tight enough on my foot not to come loose and slip off and should last longer.I purchased the white ones which will get dirty quicker than others they can be cleaned easily using a damp cloth or an erasure and then look almost good as new. I marked this as 3/5 for working out as I haven't used them for that purpose but also feel that for sports trainers you'd be better with normal laces.Overall though I would recommend these, certainly for people who want to replace the laces on fashion trainers where they don't want to have to do the laces up all the time.

To replace shoelaces on trainers

Seem pretty good so far, I only bought them as I'm lazy and couldn't be bothered doing my laces all the time. They annoy me how they don't sit flush when not wearing the shoes but I'm just being picky and its because of the loop design on my chosen trainer.In terms of wearing them, my shoes are easy to get on, they are suitably tight and they kept held with no issues when running.I've given 4 stars for most options but only because I've not used them long enough to verify if they're 5 star worthy.I've given 3 star for value as I think they should be cheaper overall, they're literally tiny pieces of rubber so personally I think they shouldn't be much more than £5

I have had a set of these before and decided this week I would like all my lace up casual shoes to have them so I bought more. They were easy to fit, and fun to choose which colours to put together, although I would have liked even more colours 😊. They stretch perfectly and now all my casual lace up shoes are slip ons but as secure as lace ups, result!

Hickies are great and I’ve been using them since the first kick starter campaign. They do what it says on the tin and are easy to use, strong and long lasting. Living in Norway is tough on any shoe laces but these survive winter and summer and rain and give me a long lasting solution to laces. I love ‘em.

It would be even better if you get slightly different length in the same pack for different parts of your feet. Near the toes 'hicky' is slightly loose for me, there is no traction. Hence overall 4 stars
