The cardboard Mini's are great, but this is what you need.
Pewter Mini's have ruled the roost for gamers for many years and will continue as such for the future. But, these are magnificent. I have picked up five boxes so far and have plans for approx. 5 more. These are well done, easy to assemble and east to paint. Small but all color rulebooks are superb. Great deal for the price.

The minis from Ogre 6th Edition
This set is the miniatures from the 6th Edition boxed set, giving you plastic 3d minis instead of counters. Absolutely excellent for basic Ogre.

Good Orge game minatures
Well done model of the Orge game. Painting is on going. I hope that they bring out an Orge set only.

Bait and Switch mess - I wash my hands of it
When these were originally produced, Steve Jackson committed to two set, this set and what later would be called Ogre Miniatures Set #2. Great! I have been coveting a nice set of minis for this game for my entire life. The metal ones were just too much money, and reverse engineering (and casting these) would be a PITA. I bought two boxes of #1. So everything is wonderful, right? Not so fast. Instead of releasing set #2 as previously committed to, SJG decides to clump all the models from set #1 and set #2 together, and sell it as the 'Battle Box'. So now the only way I can buy the models from set #2 is to re-purchase the models I already own? It's too much money - already north of $100 for two boxes. Its stinks, and I wash my hands of the mess.
