This release is Garbage.
So right out of the box the trigger was extremely light, and it had a ridiculous amount of play. Now I actually don't mind play on my trigger because I like to pull my release with back tension so a little play helps surprise my shot. So I actually tightend down the trigger tension so it wasn't a hair trigger and began shooting with it. Immediately all my shots were down and left, I was just thinking I needed to get use to the release since it's brand new and keep adjusting it till I got all the dimensions right. After about an hour I had the length and trigger working well. Then I go to pull back and punch myself square in the mouth, my arrow goes flying and I'm searching in a cotton farm for my arrow. I finally find the arrow and go back to the house, give the release a good once over and try and tug it hard to see if the release is broken or if something else went wrong. I nock another arrow and start to pull slightly and bam the release snaps open and arrow goes flying again. This time my arrow hit a tree and broke my arrow so needless to say I will not be purchasing another Trufire product again. What kind of poor quality control does that company have that a release can't even make it through two hours of shooting without breaking. Also one of the length set screws literally stripped out on the first adjustment I made.

Excellent hunting release with a silky smooth trigger pull
I was pleasantly surprised when TRU-FIRE came out with an updated bulldog and had to try it as I've always had better results with single caliper releases and I'm a fan of TRU-FIRE's wrist strap design. On arrival I found the newer style wrist strap very comfortable and fit like I'd been shooting it for years. The release head is somewhat smaller, compact than my old bulldog. Turning the head adjusts the length and then tightening the two small set screws at the base of the head locks the length. The head remains free to rotate/float, a design feature meant to eliminate twisting/torqueing the d-loop. I actually prefer locking my release head in place once I have my position set and wish this release had that option.I have to agree with TRU-FIRE that this release has the smoothest trigger. The smooth trigger pull results in a smooth and consistent release shot after shot. It took me a few rounds of shooting to get used to the trigger pull though I shot it great right out of the box. After a few weeks of shooting, I switched back to my old release to see the difference. That's when I was surprised to find I preferred the new bulldog which is saying a lot considering I've been shooting my old bulldog for 15 years. If you are in the market for a high quality release I highly recommend giving this one a try.

They will not take care of defective products nor wilk they reimburse you!
I absolutely loved this new updated bulldog release from Trufire until after a few months when it decided to malfunction on me while drawing back on a coyote sending the top aluminum with trigger half prematurely flying into the woods with my maxima red arrow and new spitfire max broadhead! Trufire claims to stand behind their products but i beg to differ considering that my wife and I have been getting absolutely no where with them for almost 6 months waiting for them to reimburse me or replace the release!!! I will definitely be shooting another company's release from now on after witnessing first hand how much they really stand behind there products! Would not recommend to anyone!!!

Worst Release
This is the worst release I've ever shot; the triggger on this release is very long. Unlike Scott release, you would have to pull about 10 degree before the jaw started to open, then another 20 degree to finish the pull. Long and painful draw. Get the Scott and you are good for years of shooting or better yet, get a Spot Hogg so you can shoot better and show off to your friends as well.

Great adjustable release
This is a great release. It can be adjusted to shorten the trigger pull before the arrow releases, as well as adjust the overall length, to bring the trigger closer to your hand. The release can flip up so it is out of the way, but it feels pretty stiff and isn't easily flipped. However, it is easy to get into position without using the second hand. All in all, I am happy with the purchase.

Misfires
This release worked great for about 20 shots. It’s quiet and smooth. Then I drew back and about half way my d loop slipped through the jaws. I kept trying to figure out why it was doing it but it ended up being a piece of crap
